Publisher's Summary

One female criminal genius. Three brilliant, passionate detectives who stand in her way. Let the seduction begin...

My family expected me to play sacrificial lamb for their supernatural cult. Through a desperate bargain with a demonic fiend, I escaped—into a criminal underworld that saw me as easy prey.

I’ve proven them wrong a thousand times over. These days, what I want, I get, by whatever means necessary.

Now my fiendish friend is coming to collect its fee: my soul. I don't intend to pay. Unfortunately, the key to my freedom lies just beyond my reach. To steal it before my time runs out, I’ll need to con the finest investigative minds in London into executing a perilous heist.

Sherlock Holmes. John Watson. Garrett Lestrade. Each at the top of their game; each with a weakness I can exploit. Each so passionate both in the field and between the sheets. I answer to no one and I left my conscience behind years ago, but the more time I spend with them, the more the edges of my steeled heart soften.

We could rule the world if we worked together. But these men will never see the real me as anything but a villain. When the chips are down, I have to betray them—or I’ll lose myself to a greater horror than they could believe exists.

*What if the infamous Professor Moriarty was a woman—and she met Sherlock Holmes and his colleagues as young men? Wits clash and sparks fly in Moriarty’s Men, a modern paranormal spin on the classic characters. This reverse harem series comes with fast-burn steam, a slow-burn romance where the main character doesn’t have to choose, and M/M themes.*

Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series

I greatly enjoyed this first book in Eva's new series. Jemma is a strong female character and she seems to have no trouble outwitting not only the trio of detectives that she has unknowingly maneuvered into her helping obtain an important object but the otherworldly being that has been stalking her.

There is an International Conference of Investigative Skills underway in London and Jemma has finagled herself into attending as a, ahem, police detective from Germany. Since her underworld career is a long way from any police department she must be bold but cautious. The first order of business is to attract the attention of her marks. It will not be easy to impress Sherlock Holmes and his attention must be snared. John Watson and Garrett Lestrade will be a little easier since they will follow Sherlock's lead. Everything depends on getting these three to aide her in her mission, for her very life depends upon it.

I liked the way Eva brought these characters into the modern world without changing their basic personalities. She has meticulously planned her assault and does her job perhaps too well. I can't wait to see what will happen next as the tables are turned and she becomes the prey.

Truly Amazing.

this is the 2nd audiobook i fully listened to and completed. and i loved every second of it. im an avid reader but the convience of an audiobook astounded me. i got to listen while in the car and on my phone in the store plus at many other places that i definitely can not manage to bring my kindle or phyical book to sate my reading addiction.
both narrators were believable and incredible. initally going in i imagined that when it was a chapter in our Gemma's pov and she spoke with one of her men it'd be the male narrators voice but i was wrong and it was still our female narrator but it didnt take away from the story and she did a great job in conveying the men. and the actual story? blown. a. way. i love eva chase and all her work and she did not disappoint with bringing sherlock, holmes, garret, and bas to life in the modern world with gemma who's so much more than anyone ever sees and the supernatural thrown in on top of it all. i personally hope she ends up with all 4, especially bash with how loyal and caring he is despite just being her 'employee.' i truly look forward to reading/hearing the next book in this series. 5 stars all the way

Wonderful reading of this incredible story!!!

This was the Audiobook of A Study in Seduction by Eva Chase. The story took a unique twist on Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Garrett Lestrade, and Professor Moriarty (a woman!). It places them in today’s world and, along with the usual sinister felons, puts them amidst unholy demonic creatures out to steal souls. Jemma Moriarty must use the three greatest sleuths known to help her (without their knowledge). She cons them. She will use any and all means necessary to achieve her desired goal. Her soul.

I had already read the book and was curious to see how the narrators interpreted what I had already read. What a
WONDERFUL interpretation these two narrators provided!! Summer Roberts provided the narration from Jemma’s perspective of events, while Tyler Donne provided it for all of the male characters. They did a fabulous job, especially Tyler!!! Both used different ‘voices’ when speaking for each character, making it easy to keep everyone straight! I thoroughly enjoyed this Audiobook!!

Wow!!! Eva Chase’s A Study in Seduction was a wonderfully woven, intricate, and thought-provoking ride with characters that I didn’t want to LOVE!!! I mean, how can you successfully change these well-known and beloved characters….but, somehow…..SHE DID IT!!!!! I absolutely loved reading this enchanting, tense, and captivating story!!! I can’t wait for more from Eva Chase!!!!!

I voluntarily received an Advance Audiobook Copy of this book for an honest review.

Unique Take on Sherlock Holmes!

I really enjoyed this entertaining take on Sherlock Holmes. It's original, steamy, and has great world-building. The characters and plot drew me right in! There's a paranormal element to the story, and listening to it just before Halloween gave me all the spooky vibes. I wish this series got more love so that it was complete on audiobook, but I still enjoyed devouring the rest of it on ebook! If you're looking for a page-turner with action, adventure, mystery, and steam—you're in the right place!

Really good

I really like how Jemma cons the trio into doing what she needs. The part with Sherlock and John was full on angsty and I’m here for it.
The narrators did a great job.

Great Narration.

I liked the story. It drew me in at the beginning and held me captive at the end but the middle was slightly boring and drawn out. almost too many small details I guess. im intrigued enough to where ill listen to the second eventually but I think that's mainly because I enjoy Sherlock stories so much.

Entertaining

Entertaining twist on Sherlock and the art of double crossing the smartest detectives in history. A small town detective is invited to conference where she saves a person of importance catching the eye of Sherlock his assistant and a local detective from The Scotland Yard. Upon seeing the fiery red head again, Sherlock inserts him and his merry band of helpers into her investigation. But never underestimate a girl on a mission. The over all story is good with several twist and turns that keep you guessing what they will get up to next. The ending was left open for the next book but not so much a cliffhanger status as a and the next adventure will be style. I did appreciate having both male and female narrators because that always makes the story more enjoyable. Would be open to the next book to see what other mischief will transpire.

A Modern Take

This was a modern take on a Sherlock Holmes mystery that was soley engineered by the female villain. This was well plotted out and executed with attention to even the tiniest of detail.  While I find Jemma brilliant and deeply driven, she is not the most likable MC ever. But... She has had to be tough to stay one step ahead of her greatest foe. She has a reason to lie and skew things into her favor. Her henchman is extremely interesting and entertaining and I am so glad that he exists as he adds such a beautiful and human element to Jemma's world. This author's versions of Sherlock, John and Garrett are intriguing. We saw some jealousy and how using that can drive each of the men just a tad. I am not a fan at all of M/M action. This was not the cringiest scene written, but it does lead to the imagination of just what Ms. Chase may have in store for this series. I loved how this concluded! The game is very truly afoot!

Sherlock vs a smarter Moriarty

If you like a great Sherlock Holmes mystery - this book is definitely for you! Gemma Moriarty is a cunning and creative woman that uses Sherlock's own arrogance and intelligence, with his friends Watson and Garrett to help her achieve her goal. She is a woman in today's world that is so creatively manipulative, that the 3 men don't even know she is using them. This also has a paranormal spin, which I thought was so creative because we've all seen the same Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories (done well) over and over, but this story refreshes the older personalities and gives a new sleuthing story we've never heard before without changing the personalities that Doyle created.

I'm not sure "I" would call this book a reverse harem....but I would definitely say I liked the very strong self assured and seductive character Gemma is in this book.

While Gemma's life hangs with an expiration date set for her, she uses her 3 unknowing new friends to help her cheat before her time runs out.

Narration by Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne were executed flawlessly for each and every character they spun a personality into.
