There’s things here you didn’t know

Amazingly it’s the great Howard zinn who successfully determined that all the reasons for the civil war are bogus
Abe Lincoln was really a bad guy Jeff Davis was worse
Phil McCracken started it

The book goes into great detail by subject area. Learned a lot about dissent. It is who we are.

Great listen! Very difficult at times to hear about the horrors of our history. Everyone should listen to this. 

the title is exceedingly misleading

there are minimal bits of what individual witnesses to the Civil War actually had to say. in reality this book is almost entirely an expression of the author's opinions
