nice clean easy listen

I enjoyed the narrator and the story. The spy portion though ran through the whole story was actually seemed more of an aside.

surprise at series and gratitude to recorded books

This series is very good but the first available reader was acceptable at best. The recorded books narrator is very good and all gratitude is given the choice. This series has what could be called a chaste side to Regency Romances. It is still funny, compelling relationships, and well plotted as are the best of Regency Romances as a group. The difference is that the effort to reform choice and behavior is presented through faith rather than lust or eccentric compatibility. Eccentric pairings find their way to each other in self regulated compliance to shared convictions. The romances are still convincing, however, the whole of the books are more than entertainment. They become good company. It is hard to stop wanting the best for the characters and sorry to see the series completed.

Really loved this book.

story was captivating and I didn't want to stop listening. Narrator does quite a good job and different voices are well done. Only snipe I have is the fact I can tell it's an american putting on a British accent, I can hear it with certain words and prenunciations. Doesn't effect it in a negative way though. I would listen to more from both author and narrator.

Great start.

This book was a Daily Deal on Audible and not one that any of my Goodreads Pals had reviewed, but I gave it a shot and found myself pleasantly impressed. Several different types of stories were happening at once which kept it interesting and the characters were well formed and believable. I would happily read more of this series.

I really loved the reader... and I really loved the story. This was so cute and I can't wait to read more by this author. Sweet, clean read.

I could not stop listening and was instantly in love with the characters. I could see this easily as a movie. I can't wait to listen to the next book.

Entertaining Story, but the narrator

The story is fun and there are parts that had me laughing out loud, but there are so many words the narrator mispronounced that it became annoying. Not enough to make me stop the book, but still... annoying.

Enjoyed

I love a good romantic mystery. I have to say, I didn't realize it was a "Christian" romance until I read the other reviews. I don't think it took away from the story at all. I will say some scenes did drag a little, but over all very fun book.

Good story

Good Christian story. Very G rated, not what I usually read but I really enjoyed the story. I’m surprised I listened all the way to the end. It was well written.

Great Book!

I enjoyed listening to this book so much! Just when I thought I had part of it figured out, the story would take a totally unexpected turn.
