Well, I can't say I'm surprised. Going from a no-good Neet to a magician with a magic book doesn't happen to everyone. And I doubt it'll happen to you, but that doesn't mean you can't continue to enjoy this guide, this tale of mine. And I can assure you that things only get more interesting, much to my surprise at the time. More magic, mayhem, and of course, Bob.

As usual, life continues to throw jabs at me and even a few uppercuts, sending me spiraling into further insanity and trouble. By now, I'm getting used to it, and the push forward continues. As my training with Bob continues, and my relationships develop, those from near and afar make their moves. Pieces on the chessboard all looking for a checkmate, and whether I like it or not, I'll find myself at the center. Adversity, adventure, and more action than I would have liked at the time. Prepare to learn more about how I, a former full-time Neet, became a god.

Good book

Binged both books back to back but now sad I have to wait for the next one. Was a very interesting and good book.

I was entertained. I don’t think most people will regret the purchase.

Kind of a slow build up to the end, but there’s a lot going on at the end to the point that it was a little rushed. No explicit sex scenes which would’ve taken away from the story imo. The book was less than 10+ hours. I’m curious what might happen next but at the same time I’m not sure if I want to continue the series. I kind of got the feeling. The next one might just be a rinse and repeat of the same scenarios that have already happened so far. There is a lot of the plot still open but a lot of the same things described in the last book are repeated over and over this one. I guess the word I’ve been trying to avoid is filler a lot of filler was in this book. It was done artfully and enjoyably, but still filler.

I really injoy this book and like Where it's going, its a not to long book.

Cannot wait for more

I am loving this series I am enjoying this every step of the way. Yes, it’s a Harem but it’s not focusing on the sexual parts more innuendo which I like so more on the story and what's happening so much more for him to do just starting to get into it all. Wish a Book like that would fall into my lap!! Bob has his own unique attitude a sassy sidekick that understands when to be serious. an awesome pocket dimension also jealous of that would love one of those too. he must have a great luck stat that's for sure!! but all great MC must have a great luck stat; or great survivability. Love that he is well rounded and in the second book ending I think he chose well. I don’t want to spoil anything but This is why I am excited the most to see if his abilities can grow more cause his form was said to hold him back.
I have listened on audible and the narrator does a great job as well with the voices. I cannot wait to see where the author brings him next or what troubles he gets into or even what worlds he goes to and why earth is called prime.

The Storyline

I like the plot of the series and how this build is a little slower than others are. It just feels like there could’ve been more in this book, progression-wise. It’s good, I like it; it could just use some more development each book.

This book was great can’t wait to see what happens next. Great narrator as well I hope he does book 3

I really enjoyed this

I liked this and book 1 a lot. just some good old modern day magic stuff. I fully recommend it you're comfortable with mild harem elements (not graphic just fade to black euphemisms). one thing I was sad to learn is when I looked into book 3 I found the author has been going thru a rough time and doesn't know if or when he'll continue the series. so just keep this in mind!

A lot of plot points!!!

Whew!! That was an adventure. A lot of plot at the end which was hard to keep track of. We had the demon, an ender, the underworld leaders, Wolfpack and witches to name a few. Much of these plot points were left unfinished for now, but I’m hoping the next book will wrap some things up. That said it was very entertaining and there was definitely some character growth. I’m looking forward to the next book! Narrator really brings it together, give this series a chance.

A bit more world building and a lot more plot

Simply put, I will rage if this series is left incomplete. Lazyfantasist has created a web of interlocking stories, mixed with prophecy and omens that keep the listener guessing as to how the stories will end. I believe the theme of this part is the development of Richard’s body, or strength/power. It was a great showcase of the vast capabilities magic has, as if I was diving into a world of a fantasy video game based in reality.

I’m glad I can across this gem.

The story, the characters and now the cliffhanger. I want more! I can’t wait for the next book!
