Publisher's summary

When the worst snowstorm of the century hits the Scottish Highlands just in time for the Christmas holiday, Harper knows she must seek shelter from the storm. With her grandparents' home still hours away and the roads growing more hazardous by the minute, she is left with no choice but to take refuge in the one place she swore to never return - McMillan Castle - the home of the only man to ever break her heart.

Christmas only serves to remind Kamden McMillan of all that he's lost. As he settles in for yet another holiday spent alone, he is stunned when his ex-girlfriend breaks into his home to escape the snow. With the storm projected to last for days, Kamden sees this time alone with her as a chance to make things right.

Just as they begin to get reacquainted, Morna's meddling magic sends them back in time, and both are forced to reconsider what they thought they knew about the other. Will returning to the year their relationship ended allow Kamden and Harper to mend the hurt between them? Or has history already sealed their fate?

Wonderful Christmas Story

Where does A McMillan Christmas rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right up with the top of the best

What other book might you compare A McMillan Christmas to and why?

The whole Morna's Legacy series

What about Lily Collingwood’s performance did you like?

She has a great pacing about the way she reads and I love her Scottish accents

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Toward teh end when you know things are going to work out

Any additional comments?

I had read this book previously but the narration adds to the story, Unlike the other books in this series, this book deals with 2 people who live in the present and take a trip back to 2 different times to realize how much they love each other and what they lost when they had broken up 5 years before.
As always, BEthany Claire does an amazing job of making you want to love the characters and you feel their pain when things go wrong.

Two Time Jumps?!

5 Stars
Series: Book 7.5: Morna’s Legacy
Characters: Harper & Kamden McMillan
Setting: Scotland (Past/Present/Present-Past?)
Mature Themes: Sex

Recommendation:
A delightful Christmas story of love, redemption, and of course a sexy Scotsman or two. This is book 7.5 in the series and can be read as a standalone story, but I would still recommend reading the first 7+ ones before starting this one.

Harper and Kamden are a passionate loving match made for each other, except nothing went as planned. When a blizzard forces Harper to take shelter at a nearby castle, she’s more than upset when she finds it’s one from her past. Kamden dreams of changing the day it all went wrong, he’s changed, and he wants a second chance with Harper, but he’s not even sure how to start. In comes Morna.

This is a Christmas story, but refreshingly enough, that’s not the focus. The romance we’ve grown to love from all of the Scotsmen and their brides, the meddling from Morna, and the time-travel quirks are all still present and center focus. A major departure for a Morna’s Legacy novel is the two characters starting out with a history and not as complete strangers. This gave the length of the story room to explore a deeper love than would have been possible otherwise. Seeing these two characters come together and heal one another made for a beautiful Christmas miracle.

Audiobook Review:
Lily Collingwood is, as always, enjoyable to hear. The novella was 4 hours, the recording quality was excellent with no hum or distortion and made the entire focus on the story.

Second chance for romance

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this short story about second chance at romance for Kamden and Harper. This is a different type of time travel since the couple is in the present time and travel back to when they had their breakup to see why things happened the way they did and then they travel back to the time of the earliest McMillan ancestors of Kamden's. The couple are still in love with each other and have to overcome past misunderstandings. Even though this is short, nothing seems to be skipped in the telling of their story. Lily Collingwood does a wonderful job with the different voices I highly recommend this book and can't wait for more to be made into audio. I received a copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Importance of Family and Love

A McMillan Christmas surprised me. I expected the story to take place between the present and the past with the hero and the heroine. The author did the unexpected. She wrote the story to take place in the present and with the hero and heroine are from the present. A misunderstanding and a twist of fate have kept Harper and Kamden apart for five years. Morna, the meddling loveable witch, is giving the couple a second chance at love and to heal the hurt that kept them apart.

Bethany Claire provides stories that heal the hurt and pain from lost and betrayed love. I can't wait to see what she writes next.

I just love the narrator Lily Collingwood. Love the Scottish accent.

I was given this audiobook by the author and have volunteered to write an unbiased review. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.

Great Book!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this book is part of the Morna’s Legacy series written by Bethany Claire and narrated by Lily Collingwood. With her grandparents' home still hours away and the roads growing more hazardous by the minute, she is left with no choice but to take refuge in the one place she swore to never return - McMillan Castle - the home of the only man to ever break her heart. With the storm projected to last for days, Kamden sees this time alone with her as a chance to make things right. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading/listening long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator Lily Collingwood did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.
If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read/listen to this book. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Kamden and Harper

Why can't I get stuck in a Scottish castle during a snow storm? I guess I will have to live vicariously through Harper. This is a story of two modern people finding love again in the past. It's another great Morna hookup. I read this book on the day it was released. It's a quick and fun novella with all of our favorite characters from past books. I was given the opportunity to listen and review the audio book version. The book is great but the audio book makes the story come to life. It's great for a weekend road trip. You definitely won't be disappointed.

Lovely Christmas story

This series of books holds a special place in my heart. They join love, time travel, family, and just things that make you feel good about people.

Lily Collingworth does a fabulous job of brining the book to life. I read the book and had my idea of things in my mind but Lily's telling of the story really gave the character LIFE!

A new McMillan is introduced. A new love story and new magic for Morna.

If you're not sure about time travel love stories this book is a good place to start the series. It will make you want to go back and meet all the other characters in the previous books.

I received a free copy of the audio book but would have purchased it anyway. I love the story and narration just that much.

I highly recommend this book and the series.

A bit of Christmas Magic!!

A little bit of Christmas magic and Christmas miracles come true. This is the gamut of emotions I felt while listening to A Mcmillan Christmas. It was a fun trip back into the past and the present and the past and the present again...lol Kamden and Harper worked through their issues and got their second chance. It was the best Christmas ever for them. Magic was definitely in the air at McMillan castle. I love the Morna's legacy series because they transport me back in time. And I feel as if I'm one with the story. Of course, it's always awesome to hear from the other characters from previous books. You get to reconnect with old friends. Everyone is one big happy family here...you gotta love these guys... I sure do! The best time travel series ever with each story being exciting and new.
