Disappointing
I recently found and listened to two series (a total of 6 audio books) by Roseanna M. White. The first six were wonderful. I think I would have liked this better, but I couldn't get pass the poor narration. Sarah Grant was very monotone, especially when there were some potentially funny lines, she sped right through them. Also, the characters had a weird accent. It was a historical piece and I get it that their way of talking was more formal, but the accents were somewhere between a high society American accent all jumbled up with an "almost" British sound. She gave the female characters high, whiny voices.'
The book would have been much better with Liz Pierce (who Ms. White uses frequently) or someone who would give this some personality.
It's too bad. I could hardly finish it and found myself fast forwarding through the book just to get the gist of it.
I don't like to be too hard on narrators. I get it if this is a royalty job, but still, it really hurts the book and takes away from a potentially good story. Too bad the intended humor fell flat.
I'd get the Kindle or paper edition of this one. Pass on the narration, it's really bad.

not the best
I have listened to all of her other books, which were amazing! Liz Pierce did a wonderful job narrating those. This book , both the story and the narration, lacked the sizzle that the other ones did. The narrator, though good, was monotone. The voices were good, but the actual narration parts seemed flat. Also the main character, the male character, very flat.

Setting in Williamsburg/Annapolis post-Revolution
Roseanna M. White gives an interesting historical context in the author's note at the end of the story. I would really have enjoyed hearing this before listening to the story! This is one American History lovers should enjoy! While the narrator wasn't horrible, I could see where a top-notch reader would change my over-all impressions of this book to be rated higher across the board. Nice story of faith, forgiveness and history. Will listen again sometime, I'm sure!

Superb historical narrative with a good dose of moral dilemmas creating tension
Roseanna White excels in historical fiction narratives. Her well researched topics become fertile soil for her gift of perceiving natural consequences and tensions that particular era would have presented. Her characters are well developed so it is a joy to come along in the audio narration to follow them in the unfolding and resolution of their story. I greatly enjoyed this story set at the end of the Revolutionary war. Wonderful insights and excellently crafted.

Love the Time-Period
Although I love this time period, the plot to A Heart’s Revolution is weak in spots. It’s the “I love him but”...” he loves her now...suddenly... and none of those are strongly resolved. The secondary love story is actually stronger, and It should’ve been the main plot. I still recommend the book.

Great history
This well-written story contained lots of interesting history, as well a good love story. The narrator was not the best. Her acting sounding artificial, and she needs to work on her voices. It was difficult to listen to her at times, but still worth it.
