Saving the city was supposed to be the hard part...
Parker Ferro can’t catch a break. After saving San Amaro from destruction for the second time and reconciling with his boyfriend, his current plans are to relax on his couch until his ears stop ringing.
Unfortunately, the thousand realms he just saved have a way of yanking him back into service, and the dead have come back to haunt him. When he’s called in by the SAPD to consult on the murder of an anti-paranormal protestor killed with fae magic, Parker is caught up in an intricate political web that was spun long before he was ever born.
Now, Parker has to unravel the mystery behind the murder and untangle old family secrets before irreversible damage is done to his new friends and alliances. At least this time, he’ll hopefully have some help.

Amazing story
I came here for the M/M urban fantasy escapism, but after finishing this (book 2) I am stunned to my core at how great this series is! The world building is mindblowing, the not-main characters are all worth remembering, and the M/M is so far just supportive and drama-free so my anxiety never kicks in.
Narrator Greg Tremblay is, as always, an absolute treat to listen to. If he opened a patreon page and just read weather reports I’d subscribe in a minute.
Why isn’t everyone talking about this series? Buy this damn book!

Excellent story!
This is another excellent book in this series. I really love the different spirits Parker uses to help his magic. I also like seeing Parker and Nick use their magic together. I am also enjoying Parker's not-a-cat, Runt. I really like the personality Runt has. I'm looking forward to the next book for sure!

Wow! ❤️
This book is amazing! It's so twisty and intense. I love the audio. The emotional roller-coaster hurt to listen to. Kai Butler always ends her books with a big juicy carrot dangling. I can't wait to find out what happens next in A Shattered Silver Crown! I love this series.
Greg Tremblay is a fabulous narrator. He always adds so much depth and facets to the stories he performs.

love this book
I love this book series by Kai Butler. it is one of my favorite. they are so well written and enjoyable and they are well developed. I can't wait for book 4 and any other to come out on Audiobook. I know I will by them. I love Greg Tremblay. he is one of my favorite Narrates. he does a great job in this book as well as books 1 and 2 and I am sure he will do a amazing job in book 4 as well and I can't wait to hear.

Love this series.
Each book kept me listening well past when I should. Great scifi story, Well developed characters with the hero being just warped enough to relate to.
Great performance by Tremblay.

Loved it!
I love this series and Greg Tremblay brings it to life. Emotion, personality, and intense scenes feel so real you'll get lost listening to this and not want to do anything else. Great story again by Kai Butler and a must-have for audio. Can't wait for the next.
