Publisher's Summary

Fancy Lynn Sawyer says that before she'll even think about the M word, a man has to say the three magic words, but 'I love you' isn't enough. He has to promise her a forever thing. She intends to find her forever thing in Florida, her home since she was 15, so she wasn't even looking for it when she comes to Texas to help her grandmother. With a job at the elementary school lined up, Fancy Lynn moves but she intends to stay only until her grandmother regains her health.

Theron Warren has absolutely no intention of falling in love again. His one failed marriage was painful enough. As an elementary school principal, part-time cop, and full-time ranch owner, he doesn't have time for the sassy woman who suddenly appears in his life: first in the jailhouse, then at his school and soon everywhere he turns.

Fate is trying to tell Fancy Lynn and Theron that they are soul mates, but is having a tough time convincing them.

cute and clean

This was a cute story. The narrator did a pretty good job with the southern accents. I like clean stories with little angst and happy endings. This fits the bill. If you want a heavy story to beat the classics and need true literature this isn't it. However, I loves it because It is a nice story and kept me listening.

new favorite by Carolyn Brown! Believable story.

loved it. A host of complex characters ... all with great back stories to tie it all together.

Pretty Good

This was a pretty good book. I resent that the short girl had to end up with a REALLY short guy. Why should she? Besides he needs to get some height in his family.

The worst thing about this book was the 2-3 year old. Some of her dialogue was too advanced for even a smart child. The concepts not the vocabulary were beyond the understanding and mental capabilities of a child that young. And of course it is always annoying when an adult tries to sound like a small child. This Audible narrator did a pretty good job. But sometimes it got irritating.

Hard to pause.

Great storyline with twists. Starting on Book 2, expecting the same interest peak to occur.

Kind of ho-hum

It was ok, I have definitely read better. I'm not sure if I could go with this author again.

Rather dull story

Boring listen for a boring drive through boring West Texas. Good book for mowing the yard, or sitting and knitting.

Sweet romance

Carolyn Brown writes some great romance tales with emphasis on the relationships of female friends. Most seem sweet but some are filled with sex and swearing. Not knowing which is which can be frustrating.
