Great resource for mom's with preemies like me.

I wish this book was available when I was navigating the world of developmental clinics and therapists as the mom of a micro-preemie with developmental delays. It was all very overwhelming. This book offers a step by step guide to assess your child's developmental progress and recommends a plan to find the resources and support they need. The book is not overly clinical, it's a quick read/listen and is a very informative resource. The author clearly defines the role of the speech therapist and includes helpful tips and examples to help care givers provide a fun and supportive learning environment.

I wish I had this book sooner!

As a parent of a smart but late-talking child, I was thrilled to come across this book by Kim Gallo. Her expertise as a speech-language pathologist shines through in every chapter, and I found myself nodding along with her advice and insights. Gallo stresses the importance of early intervention and gives concrete tips on how to access the resources your child needs. I also appreciated her thorough exploration of topics like sign language, language delays/disorders, and sensory issues. It was clear to me that Gallo truly understands what children like mine might be experiencing, and I feel much more equipped to support my child thanks to her guidance. I highly recommend this book to any parent in a similar situation.

Perfect for my 2.5yr old

Lovely additional resource for my 2.5yr old son who is a late talker. He has been to an SLP a couple times and had a hard time concentrating (since he's 2 lol) but this audiobook he tends to be drawn to more.

Love that I can continue working on his speech at home without paying for a therapist.

Would recommend.

A Chat with the Speech Therapist

What a great resource this book offers to parents that are navigating doctors office and therapist office when they experience delayed speech with their children. I wish I would’ve had this book when my children were younger, and I was trying to find help for them. In our case once tubes were put in the ears, we were able to see improvement. This book provides information and tip that helps you to provide a fun and engaging learning environment at home.
