This is the diary of Claire Bullimore, a person who was diagnosed at the age of 25 with a life threatening intraventricular meningioma - in other words, a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit! It is not always easy for a person from the outside to see what is really happening to someone affected by a traumatic experience such as this. The book shows the true emotion of a person dealing with the hardships of a brain tumor, surgery, recovery, and then the scars inside and out. Written as a series of diary entries, this book will make you feel like you are there going through the journey. There is love, friendship, and courage - you will cry, laugh, and find things you didn't know before. This book can help families and friends or other outsiders to see what a brain tumor survivor really wants you to know.

I Highly recommend this book especially if you are either a brain tumor survivor or a family member needing to try to understand what we go through. Claire did a wonderful job in explaining all the ups and downs that many people face and some of us have more than others. How the struggles from the beginning misdiagnosis and the final event that brings your to the ER for a CT or MRI. This poignant story brought me back to a lot of memories that I had forgotten about. that I had also gone through along with Claire so I highly recommend getting this book and I look forward to the next book following Claire’s brain tumor travels. Exceptional and very good narration.
