For seasons, I have waited for her - my perfect mate.

In a tribe full of happy couples, I am alone. But I am not content to remain this way. There are no eligible unmated females left, so I will do whatever it takes to bring females back to our tribe, even if it means doing something wrong. Even if it means I must purchase my mate on the intergalactic black market. I will do anything to possess her, to claim her as my own.

But will my ruthless move turn my female against me before we ever meet? Can she ever forgive a male that bought her freedom?

Contains mature themes.

Wonderful as always! Bek and Elly are always my favorite couple! It's nice to hear them brought to life!

Wonderful!

I love this very entertaining story. The characters are interesting and well developed.

Bek lives on an ice planet in a tribe mostly made up of couples, He wants a mate and a family of his own, but there aren't any unmated adult females. Bek decides that he will do whatever it takes to have a mate. Even if it means he has to buy females from the intergalactic black market. Bek will do anything to make her his.

This story had me so torn. Part of me wanted to yell at the humans that Bek did a good thing by having them brought to the ice planet (better than what 2 of the women had already had to endure) and it's not like he had them kidnapped from Earth to be mates. The other part of me was sad but also happy that Ellie was able to teach Bek about how slavery is wrong. I really loved how Ellie started to come out of her shell. Bek needed a great story and a great mate and this was exactly that! I recommend reading this book or listening to it. I own a copy of this book as both an ebook and an audible book.

Love Bek!

After struggling to get through the last story in the series this was a wonderful return to what I love. The title of the book says it all this is truly a well done story of redemption and character growth. Elly and Bek have a wonderful story of overcoming on Elly's side her fears and trauma and move into self discovery and love and for Bek to be more empathetic and take accountability for his actions and understand what it means to care for another. This was a joy to listen to and felt very realistic and not over done. It was less spicy than some other volumes but in a way that felt totally honored the characters in the story. It is interesting watching the community grow and change and try to navigate conflict. The narration was phenomenal and without a doubt this is one of the best stories in the series.

in the series. The immense character development on Bek’s part is amazing. It would have been very easy fir the author to justify his actions because Bek “saved” the women from slavery, but that didn’t fully encompass the situation because he still did not give them agency over their own lives. It would have been one thing if he freed the women from slavery, then offered them choices and to take them wherever they wanted to go, but instead he trapped them into a very specific lifestyle without giving them a say. I loved this story and continue to love this author because of the grace shown to each character throughout their individual journeys.

One of my favorites
