  • S3E20 Some Assembly Required? Words, Wobbles and Wisdom
    Jul 24 2025

    Contact Annmarie

🛠️ In this episode of Words, Wobbles and Wisdom, Annmarie takes you on a journey from a flat-pack furniture disaster to a deeper reflection on life, mistakes, and the importance of following the instructions of the Maker.

After realising she’d built half a clothes horse upside down (despite insisting she didn’t need the manual), Annmarie draws a brilliant parallel between 'Swedish furniture instruction' chaos and the spiritual messes we sometimes make. With wit, warmth, and honesty, she shares how the Bible offers more than rules. It's a life-giving guide, full of grace and second chances.

Expect a mix of storytelling, spiritual encouragement, and a gentle reminder that it’s never too late to rebuild. Whether you’re mid-assembly in life or still trying to figure out what that one leftover screw is for, you’re not alone.

📖 Featuring verses from Psalms & Proverbs, and a heartfelt invitation to join the 5-Day Affirmation Challenge.

🐶 Note from Annmarie: Sorry for the random dog barking in the background. Clearly some of my neighbours had opinions on my flat-pack strategy!

    Jul 15 2025

    Contact Annmarie

In this episode of Words, Wobbles, and Wisdom, Annmarie shares an unforgettable true story from her time at Dublin Airport. What was supposed to be a simple flight home turned into a comedy of errors, complete with a security hold-up over a hair clip, a dramatic fall in the terminal, and an unexpected ride in a “pope mobile.”

But amidst the chaos and embarrassment, Annmarie reflects on the deeper lessons she learned from that moment: how easily we can be cruel to ourselves, how life’s unexpected mishaps often teach us the most, and why self-compassion is so crucial. This hilarious yet humbling experience sparked the creation of her 5-Day Affirmation Challenge, designed to help you reframe negative self-talk and embrace a kinder view of yourself.

If you’ve ever felt too hard on yourself, struggled with self-image, or simply need a reminder that you're not alone in your moments of embarrassment, this episode is for you. Tune in to hear how one airport mishap led to a powerful shift in perspective.

  • S3E18 Words, Wobbles and Wisdom visits the repair shop
    Jul 2 2025

    Contact Annmarie

In this episode of Words, Wobbles and Wisdom, Irish writer and podcaster Annmarie Miles reflects on the emotional magic of the beloved BBC series The Repair Shop and how its gentle process of restoration mirrors the deeper healing many of us long for in our lives.

From treasured heirlooms to hidden hurts, Annmarie explores what happens when we dare to bring something broken to someone who sees its worth. With humour, honesty and plenty of soul, she unpacks the power of being taken apart with care, cleaned up, and lovingly rebuilt sometimes even stronger than before.

Drawing parallels to the Japanese art of Kintsugi and anchoring it all in Biblical truth, this episode reminds listeners that no matter how chipped, cracked or forgotten we feel, we are never beyond repair. We’re still precious. And in the hands of the Master Restorer, we can be made new.

Perfect for anyone navigating healing, grief, faith or simply needing a reminder that your story isn’t over yet.
