  • 213. Built to Empower: How Cherie Hoeger Is Disrupting Period Care with Purpose
    Apr 25 2025

Hey Rainmakers! It’s Chelsey and Stephen here—and if you’ve ever dreamed about launching a product that changes lives and makes a global impact, you’re going to love this episode. We sat down with Cherie Hoeger, founder of Saalt, a game-changing period care company that’s shaking up the industry with sustainable, empowering products—and purpose at the core.

Cherie shares how a simple conversation with a family member in Venezuela opened her eyes to the global crisis of period poverty—and inspired her to take action. Her passion led her to launch Saalt, a B Corp that’s now found in Target, Walgreens, Amazon, and soon Walmart. With a mission to make high-quality, sustainable period care available to everyone, Saalt has donated over 130,000 products in more than 50 countries. Talk about legacy!

In this episode, we go behind the scenes on what it really takes to bring a purpose-driven product to life—how Cherie went from technical writing to launching FDA-regulated products, and why “starting from stupid” actually worked in her favor. From her trial-and-error journey to building US-based manufacturing relationships to developing industry-first technology in their period underwear, her story is full of grit, grace, and incredible innovation.

You’ll also hear how customer education played a huge role in growing the brand, why they offer real-time support with “cup coaches,” and how Cherie and her husband built a pro-family workplace—complete with an in-office preschool. Moms, if you've ever felt pulled between purpose and family, this one’s for you.

This episode is proof that you can do it differently, create a brand that reflects your values, and serve your family and the world at the same time.

  • 212. Mastering the Pivot: Jennifer Jackson’s Journey in Building a Profitable Yoga Brand
    Apr 18 2025

Hey Rainmakers! Chelsey and Stephen here, and today’s episode is all about what it really looks like to pivot, persevere, and profit. We sat down with one of our very own Mastermind members, Jennifer Jackson, to hear how she built a six-figure yoga brand—starting from scratch, solo, and with no personal yoga background. Yep, you read that right.

Jennifer is a self-described dabbler turned determined entrepreneur. She’s done everything from real estate and affiliate marketing to crypto and product parties. But what changed the game for her was finally creating something tangible—something she could see, touch, and sell. That something turned out to be a yoga bag inspired by her daughter’s journey with scoliosis and a newfound love of yoga. Even though Jennifer doesn't practice yoga herself, she leaned in, did the research, and made it happen.

We talk about the mindset shifts that helped her move past burnout and into aligned action—like why taking a break might be exactly what you need, and how trusting your gut (even when it goes against the crowd) can lead to major growth. Jennifer shares how she used Amazon reviews to build her first product, and how she’s now refining it with real-time customer feedback. She's sold over $100,000 worth of just one product—and she’s still optimizing before expanding.

If you've ever felt like you're doing this whole thing alone, or wondered if it's too late to try something new, Jennifer’s story is exactly the encouragement you need. She proves that with focus, resourcefulness, and the right community, anything is possible.

  • 211. Turn Down The Noise, How To Quiet The Chaos in a Chronically Overstimulated World with Sarah Boyd
    Apr 11 2025

Hey Rainmakers! Chelsey and Stephen here, and if you've ever found yourself—or your kiddos—melting down for no obvious reason, this episode is for you. We’re joined by our good friend and author Sarah Boyd to talk about something we’re all dealing with: overstimulation. Between the screens, the to-do lists, the noise (literal and mental), and everything else life throws our way, it’s easy to feel like your nervous system is stuck in overdrive.

Sarah’s new book, Turn Down the Noise, is all about how to recognize overstimulation—not just in our kids, but in ourselves—and how to regulate our stress and calm the chaos without feeling like we have to run away to the mountains (though that sounds kinda nice too 😅). In this episode, she breaks down what overstimulation really is, why it’s not just about loud sounds and bright screens, and how our internal stress plays a huge role in how we react to the world around us.

We talk about how tech plays into all this—especially for kids—and why not all screen time is equal. Sarah shares tips for navigating screen use with grace, how to choose calming content, and what to do after screen time to bring everyone back to baseline. Plus, we share some of our own wins and fails in this area, and the simple shifts we’ve made in our home to create more peace.

Sarah also opens up about how parents—especially moms—can carve out tiny moments of restoration, even in busy seasons. Whether it’s standing in front of the fridge, drinking a hot cup of tea, or hiding in the bathroom for five quiet minutes (we see you), these strategies are doable and so effective. You’ll walk away from this episode not just feeling seen, but equipped with real tools to turn down the noise in your own life.

  • 210. How To Make Money Making Children's Books (& More) On Amazon, Even If You're Not An Author or Illustrator
    Apr 4 2025

Hey Rainmakers! It’s Chelsey and Stephen, and if you’ve ever dreamed of writing a children’s book, creating a journal, or making money on Amazon without being a professional author or illustrator—this episode is your sign. We just launched our second children’s book (woohoo!) and wanted to share exactly how we did it, step by step, using Amazon KDP. This is hands-off income that ANYONE can do—yes, even you!

In today’s convo, we break down the misconceptions that stop people from ever starting—like thinking you need to be creative, tech-savvy, or have a huge budget. Spoiler: you don’t. From coloring books to scissor skill books, journals to productivity planners, we explain how low-content books are the sweet spot for busy moms and creative dreamers alike. We even share how a 12-year-old inspired us at a conference with her DIY coloring book!

We walk through how Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) works—basically, Amazon prints and ships your book on demand, so there’s no need to buy inventory upfront. Whether you’re using Canva, hiring help on Fiverr, or using AI tools like ChatGPT to help write the story, there are endless ways to create beautiful books quickly and easily.

We also dive into two types of creators: the passion project folks (we see you legacy-builders!) and the strategic sellers who want to make real income. For those in the second group, Stephen breaks down how to use keywords, categories, and white label content to build a product that people are actually searching for. PLUS—we share the resource we love that teaches this whole process in-depth (linked below!).

So if you’ve ever said, “I want to make a book someday,” let this be your wake-up call. You can do this—and we’re cheering you on every step of the way.

  • 209. Diving Deep On "The Rainmaker Method" - Part 3: AUTOMATION
    Mar 28 2025

Hey Rainmakers! It’s Chelsey and Stephen, and we’re back with the final episode of our three-part Rainmaker Method series—this one’s all about AUTOMATION. If you’re craving more time freedom in your life and business, this episode is for you. We’re diving into what it looks like to make your business more hands-off, and how the automation pillar fits into the Rainmaker Method alongside leverage and solution.

Automation gets tossed around a lot, but we’re breaking it down in a way that makes it practical and doable—even if you’re just getting started. We share our early days of building systems from scratch, learning tools like Zapier (or Zapier... the debate is real!), and how a few small tweaks can lead to big time savings. This episode is loaded with simple ways to buy back your time through smart software, outsourcing, and AI tools that are more accessible than ever.

Chelsey gets real about the fears and perfectionism that hold so many of us back from outsourcing or setting up automation. We talk about that mindset shift—from "no one can do it like me" to "someone can do it 80% as well and free up my brain space!" Stephen walks through how to identify your buyback rate, hire your first virtual assistant, and how to actually communicate your style when passing off tasks.

We wrap up by showing how all three pillars—leverage, solution, and automation—come together inside our Amazon-based businesses and the Rainmaker Mastermind. If you’re building something big and want to do it without sacrificing your time, your family, or your health, this framework is the compass we keep coming back to. Let’s build businesses that work for us, not the other way around.

  • 208. Diving Deep On "The Rainmaker Method" - Part 2: SOLUTION
    Mar 21 2025

Hey Rainmakers! Chelsey and Stephen here, and we are back diving even deeper into the Rainmaker Method! If you missed Part 1: Leverage (Episode 202), go back and listen because today we’re covering Part 2: Solution. This is the heart of every business—finding a problem to solve and creating a solution that people will pay for.

We’re breaking down how every successful business, big or small, thrives by solving problems. Whether it’s a physical product, a digital offer, or even a service, the key is to identify a real need in the marketplace and meet it in a way that creates impact and income. But here’s the catch—if your solution isn’t paired with leverage (pillar one), you’ll end up overwhelmed, overworked, and burnt out. We learned this the hard way, so we’re here to help you avoid those mistakes.

One of the biggest takeaways from this episode is the "solutionary mindset." Businesses don’t exist without problems to solve. The bigger the problem, the more valuable the solution. We even share insights from MrBeast (yes, the YouTuber!) and how he turned the chocolate industry on its head by solving a massive global issue—ethical sourcing. Whether you’re starting a new business or refining your current one, thinking bigger about the impact of your solution is the game-changer.

We also dive into how to test your idea before you spend tons of time or money building it. Will people actually pay for it? Will strangers buy it? We share our experiences launching Rainmakers, testing products in the wedding industry, and even flopping on ideas that seemed amazing but weren’t marketable. If you’ve ever wondered, "Will my idea work?"—this episode will give you the exact steps to find out before you invest too much.

Stick with us because we’re leading up to Part 3: Automation—where we’ll show you how to take your solution and scale it in a way that doesn’t require you to be involved 24/7. Let’s dive in!
