  • 213. Built to Empower: How Cherie Hoeger Is Disrupting Period Care with Purpose
    Apr 25 2025

Hey Rainmakers! It’s Chelsey and Stephen here—and if you’ve ever dreamed about launching a product that changes lives and makes a global impact, you’re going to love this episode. We sat down with Cherie Hoeger, founder of Saalt, a game-changing period care company that’s shaking up the industry with sustainable, empowering products—and purpose at the core.

Cherie shares how a simple conversation with a family member in Venezuela opened her eyes to the global crisis of period poverty—and inspired her to take action. Her passion led her to launch Saalt, a B Corp that’s now found in Target, Walgreens, Amazon, and soon Walmart. With a mission to make high-quality, sustainable period care available to everyone, Saalt has donated over 130,000 products in more than 50 countries. Talk about legacy!

In this episode, we go behind the scenes on what it really takes to bring a purpose-driven product to life—how Cherie went from technical writing to launching FDA-regulated products, and why “starting from stupid” actually worked in her favor. From her trial-and-error journey to building US-based manufacturing relationships to developing industry-first technology in their period underwear, her story is full of grit, grace, and incredible innovation.

You’ll also hear how customer education played a huge role in growing the brand, why they offer real-time support with “cup coaches,” and how Cherie and her husband built a pro-family workplace—complete with an in-office preschool. Moms, if you've ever felt pulled between purpose and family, this one’s for you.

This episode is proof that you can do it differently, create a brand that reflects your values, and serve your family and the world at the same time.

  • 212. Mastering the Pivot: Jennifer Jackson’s Journey in Building a Profitable Yoga Brand
    Apr 18 2025

Hey Rainmakers! Chelsey and Stephen here, and today’s episode is all about what it really looks like to pivot, persevere, and profit. We sat down with one of our very own Mastermind members, Jennifer Jackson, to hear how she built a six-figure yoga brand—starting from scratch, solo, and with no personal yoga background. Yep, you read that right.

Jennifer is a self-described dabbler turned determined entrepreneur. She’s done everything from real estate and affiliate marketing to crypto and product parties. But what changed the game for her was finally creating something tangible—something she could see, touch, and sell. That something turned out to be a yoga bag inspired by her daughter’s journey with scoliosis and a newfound love of yoga. Even though Jennifer doesn't practice yoga herself, she leaned in, did the research, and made it happen.

We talk about the mindset shifts that helped her move past burnout and into aligned action—like why taking a break might be exactly what you need, and how trusting your gut (even when it goes against the crowd) can lead to major growth. Jennifer shares how she used Amazon reviews to build her first product, and how she’s now refining it with real-time customer feedback. She's sold over $100,000 worth of just one product—and she’s still optimizing before expanding.

If you've ever felt like you're doing this whole thing alone, or wondered if it's too late to try something new, Jennifer’s story is exactly the encouragement you need. She proves that with focus, resourcefulness, and the right community, anything is possible.

  • 211. Turn Down The Noise, How To Quiet The Chaos in a Chronically Overstimulated World with Sarah Boyd
    Apr 11 2025

Hey Rainmakers! Chelsey and Stephen here, and if you've ever found yourself—or your kiddos—melting down for no obvious reason, this episode is for you. We’re joined by our good friend and author Sarah Boyd to talk about something we’re all dealing with: overstimulation. Between the screens, the to-do lists, the noise (literal and mental), and everything else life throws our way, it’s easy to feel like your nervous system is stuck in overdrive.

Sarah’s new book, Turn Down the Noise, is all about how to recognize overstimulation—not just in our kids, but in ourselves—and how to regulate our stress and calm the chaos without feeling like we have to run away to the mountains (though that sounds kinda nice too 😅). In this episode, she breaks down what overstimulation really is, why it’s not just about loud sounds and bright screens, and how our internal stress plays a huge role in how we react to the world around us.

We talk about how tech plays into all this—especially for kids—and why not all screen time is equal. Sarah shares tips for navigating screen use with grace, how to choose calming content, and what to do after screen time to bring everyone back to baseline. Plus, we share some of our own wins and fails in this area, and the simple shifts we’ve made in our home to create more peace.

Sarah also opens up about how parents—especially moms—can carve out tiny moments of restoration, even in busy seasons. Whether it’s standing in front of the fridge, drinking a hot cup of tea, or hiding in the bathroom for five quiet minutes (we see you), these strategies are doable and so effective. You’ll walk away from this episode not just feeling seen, but equipped with real tools to turn down the noise in your own life.
