• Hustle Is a Skill, Not a Lifestyle
    Mar 20 2026

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been rebuilding the entire Your Level Fitness ecosystem. Cleaning up the site, improving structure, connecting everything, and creating something that actually supports both you and me long term.

But this isn’t just about websites or marketing. This is about how we approach our lives.

I talk about why hustle is a skill, not a way of life, how burnout sneaks in when we don’t create boundaries, and why I’ve intentionally stepped away from posting on weekends.

I also walk through how I’m simplifying content, restructuring emails, and focusing on clarity over noise, so you can actually use what I share instead of feeling overwhelmed by it.

This episode is about building something sustainable, not just in business, but in your mindset, your habits, and your day to day life.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re always “on” or like you’re falling behind, this one is for you.

    • Hustle and grinding are skills, not identities
    • Creating boundaries protects your energy and consistency
    • Simplicity leads to better execution and less overwhelm
    • Systems create freedom, not restriction
    • Your pace determines your sustainability

  • I’m Always in Physical Pain, But I Keep Getting Things Accomplished
    Mar 19 2026

This episode is a personal one.

For the first time, I’m openly talking about something that has always been there in my life.

    I’m always in physical pain.

Because of cerebral palsy, pain has been a constant for me. It’s something I’ve learned to live with, adapt to, and move through every single day.

But I’ve never really acknowledged it out loud.

In this episode, I talk about what that looks like, why I’m choosing to say it now, and how I continue to show up without letting it change my outlook or the way I live my life.

    This is not about limitation.

This is about awareness, ownership, and continuing forward anyway.

  • Growing Up With Cerebral Palsy, The Story Behind My Fitness Journey
    Mar 18 2026

For a long time, I shared pieces of my story online, but never the full picture.

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I finally sit down and share my experience growing up and living with cerebral palsy, how it influenced the way I view fitness, how it shaped my mindset, and why it ultimately led me to create Your Level Fitness.

Living with cerebral palsy has impacted how I move, how I train, and how I approach my health. But more importantly, it shaped how I think about identity, self acceptance, and building a life around what is possible instead of focusing on limitations.

This conversation is not just about cerebral palsy. It is about perspective. It is about learning to trust yourself, adapting to challenges, and building confidence in your own path even when it looks different from everyone else's.

If you have ever struggled with self doubt, physical limitations, or feeling like you do not fit the traditional mold of the fitness industry, this episode will resonate with you.

Your journey does not need to look like anyone else's. You simply need to find your level.

    • What it was like growing up with cerebral palsy
    • How cerebral palsy influenced my relationship with fitness
    • Why the fitness industry often misses the mark for people with physical differences
    • How mindset and self acceptance play a major role in long term health
    • The origin story behind the Your Level Fitness philosophy

  • Podcast Update: Turning The Daryl Perry Podcast Into an Audio Journal
    Mar 17 2026

In this quick podcast update, I’m sharing an important shift in the format of The Daryl Perry Podcast.

Since launching the show in 2018, I’ve recorded episodes under the Almost Daily Podcast format. Moving forward, this show is evolving into something that better reflects how I actually create and share ideas.

The podcast is becoming an audio journal.

These episodes will capture real time reflections on mindset, fitness, confidence, self appreciation, personal growth, men's mental health, and navigating life with cerebral palsy. Many of the topics will overlap with the work I’m doing through Your Level Fitness, but the format will remain simple and personal.

Think of this podcast as a journal documenting the process of building an inside/out life, developing confidence, improving health, and learning through experience.

Episodes will still be released consistently, but without a strict schedule. When new episodes appear in podcast feeds, they will usually be scheduled for early morning release. If you want to catch new episodes as soon as they are recorded, the best place to do that will be YouTube.

Subscribe to the Daryl T. Perry YouTube channel if you want to see new videos and podcast episodes right away.

The next episode coming to the podcast feed is a special one. It is my personal story about living with cerebral palsy from the Cerebral Palsy Perspective Podcast, which I host with Chad. In that episode I share my experience growing up with cerebral palsy, how it shaped my perspective on life, and how it influences the work I do today.

Thank you for listening and being part of this journey.

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I am talking about forgiveness. What it is, what it is not, and why it is one of the most important foundations of living an inside/out life.

Forgiving does not mean forgetting. It does not mean allowing someone to continue making decisions that negatively impact you. It does not mean ignoring patterns or avoiding boundaries. Forgiveness is about letting go of the grudge. It is about understanding that people make mistakes, that we make mistakes, and that we all have blind spots we cannot always see on our own.

I talk about therapy, self awareness, and how easy it is to talk ourselves into believing we are right. It is very easy to build a case that absolves us of responsibility. It is much harder to look in the mirror and ask, what am I not seeing here? Where is my shortcoming in this situation?

    We all have them.

Forgiveness starts with ourselves. When we refuse to forgive ourselves, we tend to project that same rigidity onto others. When we finally acknowledge our own blind spots and take ownership, we create space to release resentment toward others as well.

That does not mean you give unlimited access. It does not mean you ignore what happened. It means you let go of carrying it for the rest of your life.

I also connect this back to health and fitness. The fitness industry has long marketed against our insecurities. Many of us have been taught to punish ourselves into change instead of connecting with ourselves. If you cannot forgive yourself for past decisions, past bodies, past habits, you will struggle to build a forever active lifestyle rooted in appreciation rather than self criticism.

Forgiveness is not weakness. It is maturity. It is self awareness. It is growth.

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I share a reminder for anyone who has been through hard seasons, maybe more than once, and does not want to go through it again but probably will at some point.

Do not let the world change you in a way that makes you cold.

When you have opened up before and it did not go well, it is tempting to shut down. When you have tried to take care of people and it backfired, it is tempting to build walls. I talk to a lot of men about this, especially in conversations around mental health. They were vulnerable once and it did not land well, so they decided never again.

But closing yourself off is not the answer.

Yes, you need boundaries. Yes, you need to learn how to protect yourself, both literally and figuratively. Yes, you need to be selective about who gets access to you. That is part of maturity and growth. But hardening your heart to the point where you no longer allow connection is not strength.

Deep down, we all want connection. We want to trust. We want to open up. We want the people close to us to open up too. That applies to romantic relationships, friendships, family, and community. It is layered and nuanced, but it matters.

In this episode, I tie this back to the inside/out approach. When you stay connected to yourself and live from the inside/out, you can remain open without losing yourself. You can forgive without being naive. You can protect yourself without becoming bitter.

Do not let the world harden you too much.

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I talk about the balance between being self sufficient and relying on others. We need both.

There is a lot of glamorization around independence and being the lone wolf. Being able to take care of yourself is important. Being comfortable alone is important. There is a difference between being alone and being lonely. But isolation is not strength.

Deep down, most of us want connection. We want support. We want to help others and be helped in return. Yet many people expect the worst from others as a way to protect themselves. If you expect disappointment, you think you will not be hurt. But how we see people and how we see the world matters.

Choosing connection and compassion is not naive. It is intentional.

In this episode, I share why expecting better from people can change the way you experience life. I also talk about the inside/out approach to health, fitness, and fulfillment. When you build a solid foundation where you appreciate who you are and what you see in yourself, everything outside of you becomes a bonus instead of a requirement for happiness.

In fitness, that means appreciating who and what you see in the mirror at every stage. In life, that means building real connection instead of hiding behind self sufficiency.

If you have been trying to do everything alone, this is your reminder that strength and support can coexist.

    EPISODE DESCRIPTION

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I talk about staying realistically optimistic during a hard situation. There is a big difference between hope and toxic positivity. One acknowledges reality. The other tries to avoid it.

Sometimes things are hard. Sometimes you are barely holding it together. Sometimes you do not know what the next move is. Pretending everything is fine does not make you strong. It disconnects you from what is actually happening.

At the same time, you cannot let yourself spiral. There is a fine line between processing emotions and creating downward momentum by replaying worst case scenarios in your head. That line looks different for everyone, which is why staying connected to yourself matters so much.

Hope does not mean ignoring the pain. Hope means saying, I do not know what to do right now, but I will get through this. It means believing that even if the process takes days or weeks, you will come out the other side. And ideally, you will not try to do it alone.

There is a cultural flex around isolation and doing everything yourself. Deep down, most of us do not actually want to live that way. We want support. We want connection. We want to feel understood. That does not make you weak. It makes you human.

This episode is a reminder to choose connection over avoidance. Choose honesty over fake positivity. Choose hope over despair. That is the heart of the inside/out approach and what Your Level Fitness is built on.

If you are on a weight loss journey and you have been working at this for years but still are not happy with who and what you see in the mirror, this conversation is for you. Optimism is not about changing your body first. It is about learning how to trust yourself through hard seasons.

You do not have to give up on hope. Ever.
