  • Ep 61: Art as a Portal for Authentic Joy & Healing with Abi Ighodaro
    Jul 21 2025

Today's episode is with my dear sister, Abi Ighodaro, who's based in Ireland. Abi is an artist drawn to nature, ritual, and the quiet language of the body. She joins today's conversation as part of an ongoing exploration of her relationship with the body—especially through movement—as a site of memory and learning, and offers these reflections simply as part of a shared journey among sisters.

    Together we explore:

    • Reclaiming art/creative expression from any elitism, perfectionism or locked gates, and experiencing it as a primordial expression of our soul

    • Exploring art as a portal for connecting with the body and healing

    • Recommendations for those looking to connect or reconnect with their innate creativity

    • Honoring the body at any stage and age

    • And more!

If you enjoyed this episode, please share it with another beloved you think might be lifted up by it.

    With Love,
    Nat

  • Ep 60: Practicing Grace in Mothering & Self-Mothering with Brigid Harris
    Jun 6 2025

I had the pleasure of sitting with Brigid Harris, a beloved in our Birth Warrior community whom I first connected with four years ago. We’ve stayed in touch as penpals of sorts and had the opportunity to do some deep healing work together.

It was a gift to receive this offering of Brigid’s story and hearing her share openly about the tender places she continues to navigate as she calls in her baby. In our conversation, we touch on:

    • Noticing patterns that no longer support wellbeing and intentionally shifting them

    • The ways that her son, Ronan, teaches her to love herself more deeply

    • The ways that she honors her mother, Bernadette, who’s in the Ancestral realm

    • And the ongoing practice of mothering and self-mothering with grace

Please join me in sending love and appreciation to Brigid, and to all those in our community who continue to navigate those tender places of love, life, and pregnancy after loss.

If you enjoyed this episode, please share it with another beloved you think might be lifted up by it.

  • Ep 57: Four-Year Follow-Up with Donette Subron (Pregnancies, Losses, Motherhood & The Stories In-Between)
    Nov 7 2024
Donette first joined us for an interview in 2020 (Ep 13: Pregnancy & Loss in a Foreign Country). Today, she’s sharing how her journey has unfolded over the past four years. This includes three pregnancies (including being pregnant with twins) and curveball after curveball with unexpected losses, medical support, invasive procedures, the birth of a preemie, and life in the NICU. I marvel at what it sometimes takes to bring these precious little ones into the world. 💖 It was inspiring to hear the layers of support Donette called on during her journey, how the last few years have shaped her, and ways that she practiced self-advocacy when working with her medical team. She shared that a previous episode I did with Tia DeShazor on Birthing in Community (Ep 41) emboldened her to speak up to have her needs met. Yess! May we continue to be a source of fire and encouragement for each other! . • Ep 56: The Stories These Scars Hold
    Oct 26 2024

We're taught to erase our scars, that they get in the way of our beauty and perfection. What's been coming up for me that led to this episode is the wisdom that scars are the physical manifestation of the lives we've lived. They are a part of the stories our bodies hold. They can be evidence of both our pain and growth.

I wonder if as souls we ever held the intention to not go through pain. Or was the intention to have the storied life we're now experiencing that has the potential to lead to deep levels of growth?

What are the stories we get to tell? What are the stories that our scars now tell?

This is a "free-flow" episode, creating room for the thoughts and insights that have been emerging. I hope you find it inspiring or expansive 💖.

    Some Resources I Mention:

    • Movie: The Woman King
    • Book: Journey of Souls by Michael Newton
    • Briefly, Perfectly Human by Alua Arthur

  • Ep 55: We're Here to Birth Many Things!
    Oct 13 2024

Our bodies are portals for creation. We have the ability to birth many, many expressions of life. But when our mainstream culture tells us that our worthiness is tied into birthing children, it creates a disconnection within ourselves if we accept that lie.

Today’s episode is an Instagram Live recording where I speak to:

    • Staying in connection with ourselves and our sense of worthiness regardless of where we are on the pregnancy journey
    • Birthing occurring on an energetic / spiritual level
    • When it becomes problematic to make a business or project “your baby”
    • Removing blockages or resistance in the creative/birthing process and
    • A live Q&A on what reclaiming your womb, your yes, and your no might look like

  • Ep 54: The Podcast Is Changing
    Aug 31 2024

The podcast is changing, beloved. In beautiful ways though. I've been feeling called to expandind into other topics that speak to the whole of us...or the very least, more of us. These topics include our connection to ourselves, our connection to the earth, the healing of our families and intimate relationships, the systems in our society that lead to pain and stress in our lives, and more.

Some form of evolution is always happening. And as it's happening within me, I'm wanting the work or inspiration I offer to reflect that expansion as well.

I'm grateful to you for being on this journey with me.
