  • Joshua Vs. Moses: From Presence to Possession - Kent Thompson | 29 March 2026
    Mar 29 2026

Episode Description:Why did Joshua walk straight into the promised land when Moses' generation spent 40 years going in circles? In this message, Kent Thompson traces it back to one quiet detail — Joshua didn't leave the tent.

This is a message about the hidden place, the inner room, and why what happens in private is what determines everything that follows in public.

Show Notes:Kent unpacks the contrast between Moses and Joshua — not as a history lesson, but as a live question: what's keeping us from possessing what God has already promised?

Drawing from Exodus 33, Joshua 1, and Matthew 6, he maps a pattern of presence, identity, action, and fulfilment that's as relevant now as it was then. Whether you've been circling the same ground for years or you're ready to cross your Jordan, this one's worth sitting with.

  • It's a Kingdom Thing... Don't Give Up - Sari Lamborn | 01March 2026
    Feb 23 2026

In this gathering, Sari speaks about the importance of not giving up on what God has placed in our hearts. She begins by acknowledging something many people quietly carry — that over time, disappointment can cause us to stop believing. Some people have given up hope for their marriages. Others have stopped believing for their children to come back to God. Some have accepted circumstances like poverty, illness, or broken relationships and assumed nothing will change. But Sari reminds everyone that this is not how the Kingdom of God works. When someone becomes a follower of Jesus, something supernatural happens. We are born again — brought out of darkness and into God’s kingdom. Because of that, believers are not just ordinary people trying to survive life; they are part of a royal priesthood, children of God who are called to live with faith and authority.---If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with them here: https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Vision:https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore

  • Where is God...when bad things happen? - Todd Funk | 22 Feb. 2026
    Feb 23 2026

On Sunday, Todd and his wife Donna joined us for our gathering. Todd is a renowned speaker and teacher. A big thanks to Todd and Donna for joining us.

In this gathering, Todd speaks about one of the most confronting questions of faith: Where is God when bad things happen?

He leans into the tension instead of avoiding it. Referencing Charles Templeton, who once ministered alongside Billy Graham, Todd highlights how the problem of suffering has caused even strong believers to walk-away. Templeton couldn’t reconcile a loving God with a world full of pain.

Todd doesn’t dismiss that struggle. He acknowledges it. But he challenges the assumption underneath it — that if God is loving and powerful, He must eliminate all suffering immediately.

He explains that the existence of evil does not logically disprove God. In fact, our very outrage at evil assumes a moral standard — and moral standards point to a Moral Lawgiver.

The message is honest, grounded, and thoughtful. It doesn’t offer simplistic answers. It invites trust in a God who sees beyond the moment.

  • Pauper to Prince - Kent Thompson | 15 Feb. 2026
    Feb 16 2026

In this gathering, Kent shares about Peak Vision’s birthday and staying within the theme (or word of the year) of the Kingdom, titled Pauper to Prince.

Part 1 - Peak Vision Birthday

Drawing from the Book of Zechariah 4:6–10, Kent reminds us (the Church) that although buildings require physical effort and force, what God is truly building happens by His Spirit. The concrete, the frames, the working bees — that’s our part. But the church itself?

That’s built by the Spirit of God.He challenges the church to measure effectiveness not by trends or comparison, but by seeking the Lord and asking, “What are we called to do?”. Kent speaks about sowing into moments where we encounter God. Breakthrough doesn’t happen accidentally. Sacrifice often precedes encounter.

Part 2 - Pauper to Prince

In the second part of the gathering, Kent shifts to a message titled...Pauper to Prince, teaching from the Book of Exodus 2 and the life of Moses.

Kent explains that before God used Moses to deliver a nation, He shaped his identity. Moses was drawn out of the water before he ever drew Israel out of Egypt.

    Deliverers are delivered first.

Kent draws attention to identity. If we see ourselves as powerless, we will live powerless. But if we understand we are sons and daughters of the King, we stand differently.

    Identity shapes courage.

He explores the tension that made Moses extraordinary — confidence and humility. According to Numbers 12:3, Moses is described as extremely humble; however, Acts 7:22 tells us that he was powerful in both speech and action.

True royalty carries both. As Kent puts it: shoulders back, knees bent.

Ultimately, Kent reveals the real secret of Moses’ life: intimacy. From the Book of Deuteronomy 34:10, Moses knew God face to face. The palace gave him an education.

The wilderness gave him intimacy. And intimacy produced authority.

  • Pit to Palace - Kent Thompson | 09 Feb. 2026
    Feb 9 2026

Kent then invites us to confront identity at a deeper level. Many of us live with a “poverty mindset” — shaped by shame, insecurity, scarcity, or past labels — rather than stepping into who God says we are. Through the story of Joseph, we see that faithfulness in every season qualifies us for more. Whether Joseph was in the pit, the prison, or the palace, he stayed faithful, used what God had given him, and carried God’s presence — and God caused everything he touched to prosper.---[learn more about peak vision]If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with them here: https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Vision:https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore
