  • Out Through & In | Part 3 - 18 May 2025 w/ Kent Thompson
    May 21 2025

If you missed Peak Live and want to watch the replay of the live stream, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/BTK3KZvREMAThis is a 3-part series; check out the earlier two.Part 1 | Part 2Kent shares in Part 3 a powerful message about the journey of faith—going out, through, and in—and what it really means to live in the freedom God has for us. He opens up about how success can sometimes blur our lines and even justify sin in our minds, reminding us that the real test of character often comes after the breakthrough, not before it.He gets real about his own journey, too. He describes deep personal hurt and how God began to heal that damage over time. Not all at once—some of it was immediate, but a lot of it was through the process. Through tears, worship, prayer, and honest moments with God, Kent says he began to feel that freedom. He talks about how spiritual baggage from past relationships can’t just be talked away—it needs to be broken off in the name of Jesus.Kent’s message is a reminder that we’re not just called to be saved—we’re called to walk in freedom, to take the land God has promised us. Whether it’s in relationships, identity, or purpose, there are areas in our lives that God wants to restore—but we have to partner with Him in it. That freedom is both a gift and a journey. That we’re called not just to survive the wilderness, but to thrive in the promise. And that even in success, the mission remains: know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.------

  • Strength (A Mother's Calling) - 11 May 2025 w/ Pania Thompson
    May 13 2025

If you missed Peak Live and want to watch the replay of the live stream, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/CudrVf4G69oPania shares about the real, raw, and beautiful journey of motherhood—both the highs and the hard bits. She starts by honouring all the Mamas, recognising the different roles they play and the deep sacrifices they make—not just in career or lifestyle, but in literally giving their bodies, time, and hearts to raise kids. She reminds us that mums are more than just caregivers—they’re emotional anchors, truth-tellers, and tea-makers, always there in the big and small moments of life. One big thing we learn from Pania is that stepping into motherhood—or anything meaningful, really—rarely comes at the “perfect time.” She encourages us not to wait for the ducks to line up in a row, but to take a step of faith. She reminds young couples not to be afraid to start the journey, because there will never be a perfect house, job, or bank balance.Pania also takes us through the story of Bathsheba to highlight Bathsheba’s strength. Even after pain, betrayal, and loss, she becomes the mother of Solomon—the one chosen by God to build the temple. Pania shows us that even in the messiest situations, God brings strength in purpose, redemption, and honour.------If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with us here: peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Visionpeakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore

  • Out Through & In | Part 2 - 04 May 2025 w/ Kent Thompson
    May 6 2025

If you missed Peak Live and want to watch the replay of the live stream, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/qcvmZZXDBWkKent shares part 2 of Out, Through and In. If you missed part 1, watch that here: open.spotify.com/episode/2nh3R9Qu6sv7QVlJ5gsPMK “The Way Through”—the often painful but necessary part of the journey between being set free (the way out) and entering into God’s promises (the way in). Kent reminds us that while the world encourages us to numb pain or escape struggle, God leads us through it, not around it. Just like the Israelites had to go through the desert after escaping Egypt, we too must go through seasons of refining, trusting, and character-building. Using the temptation of Jesus and the story of 80 year old Caleb, Kent emphasises that even when God calls us to something, for example, be it starting a business, moving countries, or raising a family, we often look for a way out when it gets hard. But God's method is always through—because that’s where growth, dependence, and sanctification happen. The call is clear: Don’t return to what’s familiar just because it’s easier. Don’t trade your promise for comfort. Trust God to take you through—because Jesus is the way out, the way through, and the way in.------

  • Out Through & In - 27 Apr. 2025 w/ Kent Thompson
    Apr 29 2025

If you missed Peak Live with included music, peak news & worship, etc, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/qSQ0gdHkAMYFrom Kent’s message, we learn about a powerful biblical pattern — Out, Through, and In — and how it applies to our spiritual journey. Drawing from Exodus and the writings of Paul, Kent will help us understand how Jesus calls us out of darkness, leads us through life’s refining process, and brings us into the fullness of His promises. We’ll also explore how Paul challenges believers not just to leave behind the world’s ways, but to evict harmful habits, influences, and compromises, especially those within the faith community, that undermine our spiritual authority and effectiveness.Kent shares with us that as followers of Jesus, we’ve been given both authority ("exousia") and power ("dunamis") to live victorious lives. He unpacks how authority works through relatable examples and what it means to walk as disciples or "understudies" of Jesus, empowered to act on His behalf.Ultimately, you'll come away with a fresh understanding of our God-given authority, the call to holiness, and the responsibility to guard what God has entrusted to us — especially our homes, communities, and spiritual lives.------

  • The Truth of the Holy Spirit | Easter Sunday x Holy Week - 6
    Apr 23 2025

This speaking series is included as part of our Holy Week nights. Consider this a part 6. See the holy week playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkrJzl-hSkU1JZL3FGxIAOZl20AIxAoB0Kent emphasises that truth leads to freedom, while lies lead to bondage and a tiny life. We learn that truth matters, and the truth of Jesus' resurrection invites us into freedom, purpose, and transformation. We don’t need to have all the answers—we just need to be open, available, and real. Whether at an airport bar or in church, God uses ordinary moments and ordinary people to do extraordinary things—believe it or not.------If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with us here: https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Vision https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore

    Apr 23 2025

If you missed Peak Live with included music & worship, etc, you can watch that here: https://youtube.com/live/LOQxVeYddzs

Sarah explores the difficulty in understanding the Holy Spirit through human logic, reason, or scientific methods. The Spirit cannot be measured, contained, or fully explained, which is why it’s often avoided or minimised—even within the church. She refers to Jesus’ words in John 14 and 1 Corinthians 2, noting how spiritual truths are only discerned through the Spirit, not human wisdom.

  • Holy Week - Night 4 | The Truth of the Blood
    Apr 23 2025

If you missed Peak Live with included music & worship, etc, you can watch that here: https://youtube.com/live/3I6srErdC5cvery night we have a guest speaker. Tonight it was Pania. Pania speaks about the truth and significance of the blood. She reflects on how blood can evoke different reactions; however, biblically, it holds deep meaning. She emphasises that God's original intent was a relationship with us, and despite sin, He made a way for restoration. Through the spirit of adoption, believers are brought into God's family permanently — a concept especially powerful when understood through Hebrew culture, where adoption meant irreversible belonging.Pania further explains that blood is vital because it contains life — a truth both physically and spiritually. She noted that despite scientific advances, blood cannot be manufactured, showing its divine significance. In the Old Testament, sacrifices and blood offerings were required for atonement, but now, through Jesus' sacrifice — the perfect and ultimate offering — atonement for sins is complete.[Atonement means: the process by which Jesus removes sin so that we can have reconciliation with God.]Connected scriptures Pania used include: Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:22, Matthew 26:28, Romans 3:25-26, and Ephesians 1:7 -----If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with us here: https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Vision https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore

  • Holy Week - Night 3 | The Truth of Gospel
    Apr 18 2025
The gospel is the greatest story ever told. The gospel, meaning “good news”, is the message that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, broken humanity can be reunited with God.Luke shares that the gospel is not only central to Christianity but to the entire Bible, with the Old Testament pointing forward to the Messiah and the New Testament pointing back to Jesus’ life. His sacrifice offers forgiveness, freedom from sin, and eternal life, no matter a person's past.Luke passionately reminds us that the gospel carries power — the Greek word dunamis, from which we get “dynamite.” It’s both the way God saves and the way He draws people to Himself.
