The gospel, meaning “good news”, is the message that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, broken humanity can be reunited with God.Luke shares that the gospel is not only central to Christianity but to the entire Bible, with the Old Testament pointing forward to the Messiah and the New Testament pointing back to Jesus’ life. His sacrifice offers forgiveness, freedom from sin, and eternal life, no matter a person's past.Luke passionately reminds us that the gospel carries power — the Greek word dunamis, from which we get “dynamite.” It’s both the way God saves and the way He draws people to Himself.
