She's not just a dedicated wife and mother of three boys; she's a visionary with a heart for community and a mission to empower. With over a decade in the real estate industry, Jasmine's own journey took a profound turn after a tragic accident involving her oldest son, Shafir. Shafir's life changed forever when he was struck by a stray bullet while playing basketball with friends, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. During the challenging months of hospitalization and rehabilitation, Jasmine and Shafir witnessed the harsh reality faced by many other children with spinal cord injuries. They encountered a lack of access to essential medical equipment and supplies, and heartbreaking cases of children abandoned by families ill-equipped to provide proper care. Driven by compassion and a deep sense of purpose, Jasmine embarked on a new mission. She founded Shafir's Journey, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing life-sustaining medical equipment, supplies, and advocacy for children suffering from spinal cord injuries. Jasmine's story is one of resilience, empathy, and the transformative power of turning personal tragedy into a force for good.
