  • Do Not Worry: How to Find Peace in Anxious Times
    Sep 18 2025

    “Do not worry” (Matthew 6:25).

Worry is so familiar that we often treat it as inevitable – yet Jesus gives us a direct command not to. His words aren’t a cold prohibition but a gracious invitation to trust the Father’s love and care for us.

In this episode, Haley and Dustin dive into Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6 to unpack the difference between worry and healthy concern. Along the way, they share biblical insights for finding peace in anxious times and introduce four types of “worry-ers” to help you recognize patterns in your own life.

Whatever burdens you’re carrying today, may this conversation help you find peace and strengthen your trust in the Lord.

Subscribe to the podcast and tune in each week as Haley and Dustin share with you what the Bible says about real-life issues with compassion, warmth, and wit.

Bible verses mentioned in this episode

Matthew 6:25-34 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

  • Codependency: What It Is and How to Break Free
    Sep 4 2025

In this episode, we unpack the messy dynamics of codependency – what it is, how it shows up in all kinds of relationships, and how we can fall into unhealthy relationship patterns without realizing it. We look at codependent relationships from both sides: the person who struggles with being overly needy and dependent, and the one who feels the urge to step in, rescue, or be needed. We talk through some of the signs to watch for and why it’s important to ground your identity and worth in Christ rather than in another person or relationship.

Bible verses mentioned in this episode

Exodus 4:1-5 – “Then Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to my voice? For they may say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you.’ ” And the LORD asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. “Throw it on the ground,” said the LORD. So Moses threw it on the ground, and it became a snake, and he ran from it. “Stretch out your hand and grab it by the tail,” the LORD said to Moses, who reached out his hand and caught the snake, and it turned back into a staff in his hand. “This is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”

Romans 5:5 – “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

  • Orphaned, Redeemed & Called: Lucian Mustata’s Story of Hope
    Aug 21 2025

Abandoned at birth and raised in Romanian orphanages, Lucian Mastata knows the pain of rejection, neglect, and loneliness. In this heartfelt conversation, Lucian shares how a chance visit to a Christmas carol service as a teenager introduced him to the hope of Jesus and changed everything.

As he continued to return to church, he discovered that God was not a distant figure but a loving Father who could heal the wounds of his past and give him purpose for the future. We talk about the emotional toll of growing up as an orphan — the shame, stigma, low self-worth, and the healing power of God’s love.

Lucian now leads one of the largest Christian music festivals in Eastern Europe, HeartBeats, creating space for the next generation to encounter Christ in a real and relevant way. His story is one of humility, perseverance, and radical hope. It’s a powerful reminder that no matter what happened in our past, God can redeem any situation.

Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

  • Navigating Singleness with Faith, Honesty, and Hope
    Jul 31 2025

Singleness often carries silent struggles—shame, embarrassment, loneliness, and questions about identity or purpose.

In this episode, Haley opens up about her own journey of navigating singleness throughout different seasons of her life. We discuss how culture and even the church can sometimes elevate marriage as the ultimate goal in life, but God calls each of us—single or married—to something greater. Together, we reflect on God’s ultimate purpose, priority, and plan for our lives, and how to navigate singleness with faith.

We also talk about various misconceptions and experiences of singleness—whether you've never married, divorced, or widowed—and why it’s important to seek God’s guidance for your next step. This is a conversation of grace, honesty, and hope—for anyone navigating singleness or walking alongside someone who is.
