  • Bisexuality & Common Misconceptions
    Jun 13 2022

In this very special episode in honor of Pride Month, Angela shares her experience of being bisexual and the common misconceptions she faces within this identity.

Bisexual by definition according to Websters dictionary is the quality or characteristic of being sexually attracted not exclusively to people of one particular gender.

Angela explains each persons experience of bisexuality is unique unto themselves and can fall under an umbrella of identities:

    -Pansexual
    -Fluid
    -Queer
    -Polysexual
    -Omnisexual
    -Homoflexible

She share several misconceptions of which she's personally experienced and how it's affected her life and how difficult and frustrating it can be to have to come out over and over again due to Bi-erasure.

This is  heart felt share through Angela's personal experience being bi and is no way a declaration of everyone's experience but rather insight into the many challenges bisexual people face.

Wishing everyone within the LGBTQA+ community as well as those still not ready or unable to come out a very happy Pride.

The more open and compassionate communication we have with one another the more we can come together.

  • Navigating Social Media As An HSP
    Apr 18 2022

Today's episode is a conversation on social media and it's uses, upsides, downsides, and all the in between.

This episode is meant to be a conversation piece and not a one-sided debate as to whether social media impacts individuals in a positive or negative way.

As we discuss in many of the episodes, it's important to be curious when deciding how we want to spend our time, resources, and energy. For those of us who consider ourselves to be highly sensitive people or empaths, sensory of any type can be overwhelming which is what inspired this episode today.

Hopefully you are able to walk way with some good talking points and curiosity around how social media impacts you both positively and perhaps negatively as well.
