Amazing storytelling

Carlene O'Connor is a gifted storyteller and I was invested in every word. The storyline was tragic but the author crafted it with a deft hand. Love, love this County Kerry series!

Plot

This is by far the best book in the series so far. Great plot. I really enjoyed that so much of the narrative was written from the character who was in danger’s point of view instead of the usual main characters. I do like the main characters but it was a really refreshing way to tell the story. While the narrator is much improved over the first two books, they still have strangely placed pauses and stressed words.

Great story

I love Carlene O’Conner. Her stories contain not only great characters that you love and root for but her storytelling keeps you reading. This murder mystery is a bit darker than her cozy murder mysteries but the stories do not lack for good twists and details. You can see the stories unfold like a good movie. This is the third book in this series and I sure hope there are more.

Riveting story

This fast moving mystery is good all the way through. Enjoy and hope there’s more with these same characters. Narrator does well too

Dark, twisted and delightfully mysterious!

Dark, twisted and a delightfully well-crafted mystery with layers of crimes and life being lived in a small town where evil can live next to you and smile in your face. This is the 3rd book in the series and you will definitely want to start with the first book as the characters develop and expand in each book. However, I have to say this is by far my favorite book in the series so far, although, I do have the 4th book downloaded and ready to read so we'll see how long it remains the favorite as the author crafts a vivid world that draws you in and makes you feel that you are right there with the characters. Murder, kidnapping, cold cases, cults and so much more are woven into this book to make a multi-layered mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages just so you can see what happens next! Will the police find the missing before they become the next murdered or will these current cases become the next cold cases? I seriously can't encourage you enough to run and get this series into your hands as it is the mystery series that you definitely need to read next! FYI: If you are an audiobook fan, then this is a great audio series. The narrator does an outstanding job of bringing the story more fully to life and draw you even deeper into the story!
