Acerca de esta escucha

What if it were possible to bridge the gap between you and your teen so that you could communicate with honesty, compassion, and understanding?

What if you could transform your relationship with your teen so that you can guide them to be confident, capable adults who want to open up to you?

What if you could eliminate parental guilt and free yourself from the emotional burden of raising your teen?

What if you could transform your relationship with your teen into one of trust, transparency, and authentic connection?

It may seem impossible given the moodiness of your teenager, yet it can be your reality.

In You Are Not a Bad Parent, board-certified pediatrician Dr. Elizabeth Henry will guide you down a streamlined path to creating lasting connection and true understanding between you and your teen.

In this powerful book, you're going to learn...

How to bridge the communication gap between you and your teen

The surprising source of the conflict that arises between you and your teen (it’s not what you think!)

Proven methods to reduce conflict, strengthen connection, and unlock your relationship with your teen

The conscious and unconscious things you’re doing as a parent that create resistance from your teen (and how to quickly fix them)

How to “read between the lines” of what your teen is really trying to say

How to get your teen to open up to you (even when it feels like they are miles apart)

How to build a lasting connection with your teen (regardless of the social pressures they’re facing)

And much more!

Relatable advice for Teen Parents

Dr Liz narrates her book in a relatable, compassionate tone, both toward parents and teens. She walks the reader through the preconceptions that parents and teens can have that interfere with meaningful communication and provides useful tips for overcoming these obstacles. Using stories from her pediatric practice and from her own experience raising a teen, Dr Liz gives us hope that there is a positive solution to parent/teenager conflict and alienation. A fine book.
