My New Almost-Favorite!

I absolutely loved Memory and her grumpy wolf, but the thing I liked best about this book was that it fit into the larger world, with the huge cast of characters and the overall plot of both Psy-Changeling and Trinity without crushing the growth of and romance between Alexei and Memory. With the blurb, I was afraid that would happen, but Nalini Singh's stories are, at their heart, driven by characters and relationships. Wolf Rain is my new third favorite of the series after Caleb's book and Silver Silence, because, you know, bears.

Had to strain to hear narration.

Don't know if the narrators voice was just soft, but I had to hold my device right to my ear to hear at all. Head phones, ear buds, etc. did not help.

Perfect adventure story!

This was the first book I read by Nalini Singh. I loved it! It made perfect sense even though it’s like book 19 or so in the series. I had the feeling that it wasn’t the first book in a series only because there was so much in this world, such a rich and detailed back story. I was so excited to learn that there were many more books and I have enjoyed every one of them. She is a great author. A good mix of creativity, good descriptions, amazing characters, and the plot never drags. I highly recommend her books.

The Narrator is great, too. I can usually tell who is talking. She Does a great job between male and female voices, and with the various accents, and doing children’s voices.

Very good plotlines and narration.

I enjoyed the mystery, tension, humor and sex-scenes. I of course loved the main characters.

Awesome audio book

Aside from the fact the story is great, the narrator had a real empathy for the characters & expressing their feelings & thoughts verbally. I’ve listened to audio books where the narrator has done a real disservice to the novel they’re reading almost as if they’re disdaining the book. I’ve also listened to audio books where the narrator’s voice does not suit the novel (voice to mature for the characters portrayed)- this book has managed to hit all the right notes!

another great installment

Singh continues the Psy-Changeling saga with another excellent book. She is able to continue to advance the story arc by introducing new characters while weaving old favorites into the story. Definitely worth the credit.

love this series!

I love this series!! Read it multiple times. I love the characters. I love their stories. I love this magical world and complexities within the world and characters. Nalini is an amazing writer and a source of inspiration — I laugh. I cry. I get sucked into her stories and stay up late reading. I always know I’m about to have an epic experience reading one of her books. I always pre-order her stories! Do not miss out on this series because you may have been swayed by negative reviews. These books are amazing!!!

More, more, more.

I loved all of the Trinity Novels. I hope there will be more of the Psy books. I love Angela Dawe also.

I loved this story! Memory and Alexei were great characters that did wonderfully as a couple.

Memory is an Empath but an unusual variation that no one has seen before. Memory was kept captive most of her life but came out of it surprisingly well (there are reasons that become apparent).

Alexei is a wolf shifter that's part of the SnowDancer pack. Alexei is a good guy and a strong warrior for the pack. Alexei's been depressed the last year because he lost his brother and has good reasons for not letting people close now (at least reasons he thinks are good).

Alexei is on a patrol when he feels a deep sorrow. He realizes it has to be an Empath but can't figure out how one would get into the middle of SnowDancer territory with no on knowing about it. Memory's greif is strong enough that it pushes Alexei (as a dominant with a strong protective urge) to find her. When Alexei finds Memory, he saves her from a long-term captivity by a monster. Memory is freaked by the outside world but has a goal of finding and destroying her ex-captor so she has a reason to get her feet under her and learn to stand strong.

Alexei likes Memory and there's a strong attraction between them but Alexei has some issues that make him think he wouldn't be a good mate for Memory, even if his wolf doesn't agree. Alexei tries to stay away from Memory and give her time to find herself but he has trouble staying away from her for long. Thankfully, some issues that arise actually push Memory and Alexei together and it helps to wear down Alexei's defenses. Regardless of Alexei trying to keep Memory at arms length, I loved their interactions and it just made their eventual relationship that much sweeter when it came about. So yeah...there were some definite issues and danger as well but things get handled and in the end, Alexei and Memory are together and heading towards a HEA.

This was a highly enjoyable story from a series I love so there's no much more to say. Memory and Alexei are both characters I liked a lot and I just couldn't wait for them to figure things out so they could be together. The story itself was great and kept me well engaged from beginning to end so I'd definitely recommend this and the whole series. :D
