This book is an interesting and entertaining collection of short horror stories. As with all anthologies, some of the tales hit harder for me than others. The first few are what I would call military horror, featuring Marines in various horrific situations. You have monsters in the woods, in the sand, and in the sea, each with a creature that will give you nightmares! The author does a great job with describing the emotions and feelings of the characters in this group of stories.

Then, the stories switch gears and this is where I had a bit of a problem. I don't consider myself a prude, but I was a bit put-off by some of these stories. There was too much description of parts of the male anatomy and graphic sex for my tastes, which detracted from my enjoyment of some of the stories.

All in all, if you enjoy short horror stories, you will be sure to find a few in this book that will give you some scares. The author is definitely talented and I look forward to reading more from him. The narrator of the audiobook did a great job and added a lot to my listening pleasure.

This is a solid well written collection of stories. Though most of the subject matter was not my cup of tea. I appreciate the author putting his work out there. I am sure many will enjoy them.
