Never in my 40 years did I think my new normal would be gluing body parts back onto ghosts and hosting a houseful of dead squatters. Thank God for superglue and a strong stomach.

Never thought I’d date the Grim Reaper and that I would be the one to blow it. I mean, how idiotic does one have to be to get dumped by a dude who lives in Hell?

The angels are frightening, and the demons are hot. Wait. I mean not. Who am I kidding? The Grim Reaper is very hot - like a freaking pre-menopausal hot-flash hot.

Now I’m in a race against time and all sorts of unsavory supernatural horrors to save my deceased gay husband’s afterlife. And that was a sentence I never thought would leave my lips.

Whatever. I’ll yank up my big girl panties, stock up on wine, and lean on my girlfriends as needed. As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get inebriated...or something like that.

With everything to lose, I have no choice but to grow some lady-balls. That I can do. I just hope balls will be enough.

I had planned to live midlife in peace, not in pieces.

I’m hooked

I am hooked on this book series. The story is entertaining, there’s an element of suspense, and just downright hilarious. Reminiscent of the Stephanie Plum series.

Made me laugh

Books and French make me smile but do not often make me laugh out loud. The author and narrator are very good and making me laugh!

I enjoyed the how the reader brought the book alive

Except read loved how the lady who read this very good book brought it to life while listening to couldn’t put my ear buds down even though we all no you can pause I did not want really

I am currently listening to this series for the 3rd time! It’s just amazing and Jessica is amazing she is awesome at portraying all these characters and I feel like I’m right there!!

If you fell in Love with the characters in the first book (and how could you not!) then you will love this second book!

2nd book in the series and I loved it even more! I began to love the characters from the first book and once you read that one, you can’t stop there, you MUST continue on! Now here to starting the third ;)

Towanda!!!

Every time Daisy has one of her ballsy moments I think Fried Green Tomatoes and Kathy Bates “Towanda” this book has me laughing out loud. As I’m laying in bed trying to fall asleep I begin to laugh and my husband got a little nervous. LOL

Continued hilarity and fantastic story telling!!!

This was soooo full of adventure and mystery that Jessica's crazy, sexy, love-filled narratives kept me on the edge of my seat! I appreciate the southern slang and euphemisms that Jessica's various characters changes brought the words to LIFE❣️
This was good enough for me to drop all signs of professionalism and right straight from a cultural perspective (but, I won't). All I know is, I feel like I want Robyn's crazy tail self and Jessica's wild and out personality to be my beasties FO-LIFE.
