What could go wrong? I refuse to answer that question. So far, I’ve had a chaotic yet wonderful midlife, thanks to a fair amount of luck. But with end of existence is at stake, it’s going to take more than a semi-charmed kind of life to win.

I’d really like to live the rest of my midlife in peace… not pieces.

The emotional rollercoaster.

love this series, and this book was so much better than the last one, which honestly left me a little disappointed. This one really delivered for me. It had me laughing out loud and also crying, like, full-on crying. The humor and emotional moments were on point and reminded me why I love this series so much.

My main complaint is the length and the amount of repetition. The books seem to be getting shorter, and this one especially felt it. The first two chapters are repeated from the previous book, and on top of that, there’s a lot of repeated explanations within the book itself, characters being reintroduced and the same traits or backstories explained over and over. I totally get recaps from book to book, but here it felt excessive and took away from new story, making the audiobook feel way too short.

That said, I still loved it and can’t wait to see what happens next. I’m just hoping the next book gives us more story and more time with these characters.

This series is always a hit!! The story never misses! The comedy is always there! The love prevails. And the senseless but hilarious trivia & shenanigans always ensue!
I was a bit disappointed that the first two chapters were a complete repeat of the previous book (it's usually only one). Especially since the first two chapters constitutes 52.5 minutes of a 4h 33m book, that's a big chunk overall. It seems like the more books we get the more rehashing there is. I like the refresher chapter when I'm not binging, it helps to remember where we've left off, but two is a bit much. OR, write more!!
Can't wait to see what happens next...

Midlife series

I absolutely loved the 14.book series. I laughed so hard, it relaxed me as i listened.

Love this series!

Robyn Peter really went all out with this series. Many characters who are vastly different beings with different abilities but Robyn manages to blend them together in a funny and thoughtful way.

Repeat

I’m not sure if the author is running out of ideas, I love her stories but too much repetitive dialogue. Super disappointed that the first 30 minutes of the book was the last two chapters of the prior book. Don’t feel like it was worth the money at all!
