True to history but also didn’t make me want to end things after
I know the Shoah was horrible, my family came from Dvinsk, I get it thoroughly. Sometimes we want to not bury ourselves in tears from a book with trauma. This is it. It was amazingly read, true to history, and didn’t give me more trauma and loss. I loved this story. Sometimes highlighting the survivors is needed.
