As Hitler sweeps through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, and Holland, the screws tighten and law after virulent law is passed to threaten the lives, indeed the very existence of the Jewish people. When Teddy and his girlfriend Sara are introduced to an orphaned young girl named Katy, who has been abandoned on the grounds of a nursery school, they agree to adopt her.

An amazing story
We learn about WWII in bits and pieces but this story puts together so much about what happened in Holland when it was occupied by the German army. The cruelty, starvation, sending Jews to their death and treating the people like they weren’t human. We must never forget and never hide the truth so that it never happens again.
