A Classic!

We read and/or listen to this every Christmas, for the past 20 years! Funke's book is wonderful, and she does a beautiful job of narrating. 🎄🎅

Magical!

I got this for my five year old to listen to in the car. Immediately, I was just as interested as he was. The story is magical. It brings all the good things of Christmas into the story. I enjoyed the European flavor too. It reminded me of Christmas in Germany. It will leave you with a smile on your face!

Beautiful Christmas Story

I loved listening to this beautiful story this year with my children. It was magical and adventurous. The kids were always eager to listen to the story on car trips.

Wonderful!

I've listened to this book at least 10 times since purchasing it through Audible. I love the author, Cornelia Funke, and she expertly narrates this story herself. This isn't just a story for Christmas time, it's a favorite any time I'm feeling playful or just tired of the flow of negativity and gossip that passes for news these days. My only criticism of the story is the evident weight bias expressed in it; however, I'm still able to very much enjoy this story full of the wonder and magic of imagination.

Lovely story

Wonderful story and the author who narrates the audio book is German and her accent lends such a richness to the story and she does great voices for the characters. My kids 6 and 8 enjoyed this as we were in car for holiday shopping or light gazing.

I’ll listen to this book every year. Very cute and the narrator did a great job.

I was really disappointed in this book. I guess I was more expectant of a deeper story.
