Daniel Whitlock is terrified of going to sleep. And rightly so; he sleepwalks, with no awareness or memory of his actions. Yet as he's drawn further into Daniel's dark world, Bel finds that he likes being in charge. And submitting to Bel gives Daniel the only peace he's ever known. But Daniel's demons won't leave him alone, and he'll need Bel's help to slay them once and for all - assuming Bel is willing to risk everything to stand by him.

very sad but heartwarming

This book was perfect didn't even feel like 12 hrs, the narrator oh my that narrator Greg tremblay is now officially my favorite narrator his voice for bell 😍 fantastic!!! I could not stop listening and when I had to stop I got aggravated because I had to, I had to see what was going to happen next. I felt so bad for Daniel he was so pitiful and bell was an angel, I need a bell in life! buy this book use a credit this is a must have an anyone's library.

Two words-Greg Tremblay!!!!

As soon as this audio book was finished I went to the beginning and started again. First off it was a great story-I loved the development of the relationship between Bel and Daniel and while I felt sympathy for Daniel it was Bel's protective instinct and actions that really moved me. And Mr Tremblay's narration was out of this world. The man can do accents like no other. I never knew the southern American accent could sound so sexy!!!!! He had me rewinding just to hear some of Bel's statements over and over again. I hope these authors write together again I really hope they use Mr Tremblay.

Dark, desperate, and sexy

I was grabbed immediately by the story, by Greg Tremblay’s voice, and by the angst and horror of Daniel’s existence. This was an unusual plot and story that took me places I didn’t necessarily want to go, but I loved it.

Danny and Bel’s relationship journey was dark, twisted, and something from which I couldn’t tear myself away. The heat, pain, and fear was an irresistible mix. Some reviewers thought it kind of left them hanging with an unresolved issue, but I think it was left in a perfect place. Daniel and Bel are full of hope, yet the ending was open enough for a potential sequel.

The sex scenes were heavy, deeply emotional, and sometimes sad, but I give this four chili peppers for heat.

The trouble with sleeping...

What an interesting premise for a story. Without giving too much away, the things one can do when the unconscious mind takes over. The story of Daniel Whitlock and Joe Belman is one in which the concept of acceptance and unconditional love are explored and illustrated in the words and story of Henry and Rock. Greg Tremblay is an excellent narrator and he adds so much to the characters with his inflections and tone. A little dark at times but that is life. A good listen and I really liked it. I would recommend.

Wow

This book is just wow. You get an emotional roller coaster and falling in love with the sweet character that everyone hates ....
So good. And it had the perfect narrator, amazing work.

Different in a good way.

Very different, Daniel sleepwalks and not like you would assume someone to sleepwalk it kind of reminded me of D.I.D Disassociation Identity Disorder, where they become someone else in a way.

The bond that Daniel and Bel grow to have is unique and I think it not only teaches Bel new things but also Daniel. That you might think one way but if you’re just open your mind and your heart you will see something else.

I enjoyed the story but I am going to be completely honest it was too long; it seemed to take way too long to get to the point. Like nothing happens for a long time and your thinking ok so this happened and why and then this happens but then nothing for a good chunk then things start to pick up. If it had been a bit of a faster-paced book I think I would have been singing this book’ praises but as of right now I am just thinking great characters sad the story lingered too long.

Loved the narration 100% enjoyed it and will listen to more by this narrator.

stunning and powerful

trying not to sound too cheesy, this story is one of forgiveness and acceptance. It broke my heart, and yet found myself furiously angry at the same time. the ending is a bit abrupt, but honestly, how much of angst can a book hold? Listen at your own peril...but listen anyway.
