Isobel McKenzie is an experienced and intuitive psychotherapist who is on sabbatical while recovering from illness. Reluctantly she goes to London to help out an old friend, solicitor Peter Wright, who is uneasy about the partisan nature of a proposed divorce settlement. He asks her to meet the couple, Thomas and Anne Banks, to assess the situation. Just say “NO!” to AI voice narration!

The story of this book was actually what kept me listening. AI voice has flat affect with no emotional emphasis on words and phrases. Easy sentences were narrated incorrectly. No difference in tone so I couldn’t tell which character was speaking, when in conversation. Many times there was the wrong emphasis on the wrong syllable. So much time and passion goes into creating the characters of stories and then in the story itself- don’t do yourself the disservice of getting a machine to narrate it! Machines do t think or feel and it was an obvious drawback.

AI Narration is Awful

Great story! Terrible narration. No emotion or inflection. Particularly bad with dates & numbers; Instead of saying nine nine nine, AI says nine hundred ninety nine
