Nice wrap up

I'll admit that the amount of characters was a bit difficult for me to keep track of, but I enjoyed the twists and turns.

Writing was excellent.

The first half was exciting and intricate. The word play was funny and chilling. The second half seemed like so much of a repeat. So many story lines were re-visited I wondered if I had lost my place and gone backwards.

Captivating!!

This was a GREAT book! Karin Slaughter has become one of my favorite authors. She has an incredible writing style. The characters and storyline are both complex and captivating with twist and turns that keep you engaged from beginning to end. I love the movement through time in this book and how she develops the case by circling back to the beginning. The introduction to the new character in the second half brought to light history and personal details to help build the background of Emmy and the Clifton family. Kathleen Early is a wonderful narrator and brings the characters to life! I can’t wait for more to come in the new North Falls series.

The story is captivating! Always waiting for more books!

I loved it all. Keep up the great work. The story keeps me up at night because I can’t turn it off.

You did it again, you are amazing. I love reading your books or listening to them. Should I say and never, ever ever change your narrator Kathleen early is the best. I haven't listened to the last book of the series with Sarah and her family. Because I can't, I can't hear that. Person, that's reading it, it's horrible. But this was great and every other book I've ever read from you is great. I hope there's going to be another one. If you could please let us know if this is gonna be a series. I would love to know right now. So I can get excited and have something to look forward to. I love you, I love you. I love you. I love you so much and I love this book. This was such a strong thriller. The first few chapters start off slow, but once the story takes off, it’s impossible to stop listening. Emmy, a small-town cop haunted by a girl’s disappearance during a Fourth of July celebration, gets pulled into a tangled web of secrets that won’t stay buried. Twelve years later, a new disappearance forces everyone’s guilt to the surface.

The twists were incredible — better than Freida McFadden’s, which is saying something because I’ve always been a huge fan of hers. Karin Slaughter’s storytelling here is layered, shocking, and truly gripping.

If you enjoy thrillers with flawed but compelling characters and endings that completely blindside you, this is a must-listen.

Explosively good!

I wasn’t expecting for a series book to be quite this riveting and well done, but I was wrong. I hung on every word, related to much between the family members, and felt like this is a story that could absolutely happen.
