A teen transported to a world of magic and mayhem must navigate new alliances, strange abilities, and found family in the second book of this LitRPG series.

One wouldn't think that getting magically whisked away to a new world would make someone suddenly feel at home, but that's exactly what being transported to Makera has done for Phoenix Fraser. Gone are the ailments that kept her bedridden, the body that didn't fit her soul, and the endless loneliness. Reborn are her strength, passion, and hopes of building the community she never knew she needed.

But while the burdens of Phoenix's old life have been lifted, that doesn't mean her new existence is without its struggles. As bonds with her adventuring party and mentor grow, so too does the weight of her secrets.

The more Phoenix reveals about her true abilities, the more she could put those she's come to care about in danger. Because there are those who would do anything to stop Phoenix from reaching her full potential—even if it means destroying all of Makera to get what they want . . .

The second volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than a million views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

Very good pacing, and all the characters are based in such reality that you can actually believe the actions that they would take and and the ending amazing can’t wait for the next.

A gripping story, lovable characters

Really liking the series, I’ve no complaints. You can very much tell the author is a fan of isekai/lit rpg, which makes it even better to me!!

The first book was great and the performance for the audio book is great. Nothing in this story would work if both the hero and the villains had any common sense. Bad decisions, adherence to weird rules, and moral dilemmas that make no sense. I really really liked the first book and I thought this would be great too but it doesn't seem to be well planned and just ended up a disappointment.

Misaligned morals

This book has really good pacing and a great protagonist. That's about all the positivity I can give this book... I feel like my expectations made this a painful experience. The negatives... No exploration, no adventures, constant annoying emotional diatribes, lots of politics, character growth is painfully slow(maturity not levels), this book is takes the WORST parts of the LitRPG genre and pushes them to the forefront. I would have renamed this book "Wayward: Stagnant Emotional". The answer to everything tough... suicide!!

This one was painful
