Haven’t liked a politician MMC since Love Actually

Snicker. The sibling rivalry is one of the fun things about this series.
This installment follows Mr. Oh-so-proper mayoral candidate Ethan and Vegas showgirl Lexie and channels shades of Felony Melanie from Sweet Home Alabama.

“This was his truth- and if there’s one thing I’d learned in my life it was that you didn’t mess with someone’s truth- especially if those people’s truth was aliens because those people would cut you.”
This book was a little more uneven than book 1, with several F bombs, a sex video, and a more jaded, opportunistic Vegas slant. Still, Vegas glam vs. country Christmas provided a fun backdrop.

“If you’re coming for her, then you’re coming for me!”
This one had a little more angst, but also a little more heart and grand gestures, which was great for holiday feels. Mr. Reyes’ female voices could have used some work. And, the humor could have pushed the envelope further. All in all, however, this was a solid middle book.

All novellas of the Kringle family siblings are on Audible, but weirdly aren’t all under the series moniker. Maybe because three different authors and six different narrators delivered them?
It’s worth the effort to search by title/author, because these are great holiday pick-me-ups.

Except Lexie grew up not trusting what men want from women like her under. her mom's influence. it's a roller coaster of feelings and fears and a man's determination to prove her fears are wrong.
