Entertaining, realistic and insightful!

As a person with a great deal of experience with our “criminal justice system”, I was incredibly impressed how well the author portrayed the reality of women’s life within the “system”. DuBois has done justice to insightful truths and accurately sheds light on so many social justice issues that need to be changed. The storyline is inspiring and disturbing at the same time. And it’s impossible to not admire the strength and resiliency of the women we’ve left behind. I love it when I can be pulled into the entertainment and still appreciate the call to action underneath. “If not you, then who. And if not now, then when?”
The narrator performed well, but could have added just a little more emphasis to these vibrant characters. Overall, very well done!
