Resumen del Editor

Porter, Oklahoma, holds a dark secret.

Troublesome dreams plague Tulsa police detective Kenny Elliot, who grew up in the small town. When a bizarre murder catapults Elliot into his past, he's brought face-to-face with the fabric of his nightmares.

A shiny necklace dangles from the rearview mirror of the vehicle where Lagayle Zimmerman, the victim, is discovered. Nine years earlier, in Porter, a similar necklace swung from the mirror of a Mustang that harbored the mutilated bodies of Elliot's friends, Jonathan "Johnnie Boy" Alexander and Marcia Barnes. Most of the town believed Elliot killed his classmates, but no arrest was ever made. Risking his job and his sanity, Elliot digs into his past to solve the murders and expose the truth.

Interesting story

It was hard to fall in love with any character in this book because it jumped around but the story was interesting and everything came together at the end.

Boring read, hard to finish

I really wanted to like this book because I am search of another good crime series. But I just did not find much to value. The characters are stereotyped, the dialogue is laughable at times because it so melodramatic, and I struggled to finish it. This writer threw in everything but the kitchen sink in this story- renagade cop, sexual abuse, murder, psycho serial killer, long lost love.....the voice of this author is not original...so derivative as to be predictable and therefore boring and even annoying.
Even the narrator, who wasn't too bad, could not bring this story to any sort of satisfying fruition.
