Now this was fun!
What a fun ride! The mc is a funny, sarcastic, middle finger to bureaucracy, let's get it done already type of guy. His women are almost exactly like him but in a "we balance your crazy with our own crazy" types. The sex scenes were raunchy, steamy and funny at the same time. Together their exploits will be legendary, and I want to read/listen to every bit of it. I actually think book 2 beats book 1 which was also excellent.
I think the overall book would have been that much better with dual narration, but that's just my opinion. However, this is Jessica Threet that's narrating so you know she always does a damn good job. The only real issue I have is the wait for book 3...sigh!

Dan Raxor wrote a great series here!
Dan Raxor wrote a great series. A great story, character development, kingdom building, and a plot that moves at a good pace. Technology and good politics abound this story and help them win. The MC and the rest of the characters continue to develop I look forward to Dan's next book! Audio Version: Jessica Threet does a wonderful job narrating the characters, story, and overall fun.

Good overall
Enjoy it well enough. Honestly don't care for the harem part but the biggest flaw is the " I said " "bandit said" etc...... the narrator does an excellent job giving each character a unique voice.... The addition just breaks the flow of the story.

Completely different book, but equally enjoyable..
Original review was removed (which seems to be happening with more frequency) so this will be short and sweet.
Book 2 is VERY different from book 1. From the pacing of the story to the personality of the MC. Fortunately, the story is still really entertaining.

Only 1 Problem.... Book 3 needs to come soon
Another great installment in the series. I enjoyed listening to this one from start to finish. more then once i actually laughed out loud. highly recommend this book.
