New Charater brought into the story

The flow of action was constant and fit in with the story!!!

Tom Clancy lives
I love how this author is able to keep Tom Clancy's series going long after his death. This one was a good listen, Scott Brick narrating was a bonus.

Good listen
Woodward did a good job with this book. There were some parts I did not overly enjoy, but all in all very enjoyable. Brick is a great narrator and the story was quite good. No real complaints.

Another fantastic book by M.P. Woodward!
I thoroughly enjoyed M.P. Woodward's first two books, so I was excited to give Shadow State a listen. Like his others, this book didn't disappoint!
I haven't read/listened to any of the other Jack Ryan Jr. books, but that wasn't a problem at all. M.P. did a fantastic job writing this novel in such a way that you could read it as a stand-alone without feeling lost, and his introduction of previous characters and past missions didn't feel over-explained or forced. The story was intriguing, gripping, and there were parts that had me on the edge of my seat, so to speak. His character building was excellent, to the point I felt emotionally invested in what happened to them. (Without spoiling anything, I was near tears at the end when the president gave someone something.)
If you like spy novels, I highly recommend Shadow State, as well as M.P.'s first two books. You won't be disappointed!
