Houston firefighter Jeff Taylor is a fireman's fireman. He's not afraid of anything, and no situation is too dangerous to keep him on the sideline if lives are at stake. Lisa Matheson runs a semi-successful ad agency that's on the brink of falling apart. Her employees are incompetent and her schedule has become exhausting.
When she takes on a client with a brilliant idea for a big conference, she thinks that maybe, finally this is her lucky break. However, the fire station wasn't what she had in mind for finding conference speakers.
When she falls for a handsome, but shy firefighter, it's possible that life might just be going her way for a change. The only problem is she can't control Jeff and the death wish he seems to have.

Loved the characters in the book. Firemen and their families give so much for our safety. Very encouraging book.

What disappointed you about To Protect & Serve, Volume 1?
I'm several hours in and nothing has happened in the plot. I don't care about how much the characters are mooning after each other and how they have so suddenly become entirely dependent on each other after meeting once.Has To Protect & Serve, Volume 1 turned you off from other books in this genre?
I love Dee Henderson's books, ok with Irene Hannon's, but this is boring. You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
It's not too graphic.Any additional comments?
The reading is also a bit monotonous.I'm not sure I can finish it...
