Wonderful, sweet story.

I loved listening to this sweet story about a woman and her family's story about her journey across the country. it was about so much more than the physical journey. It was just as much about her spiritual journey of love and learning about herself as it was a physical one. I would definitely recommend this book.

Really great story. I really loved all the characters and it is based on a true historical figure.

I love her books. Have not listened to a bad one yet. She writes beautifully, and she keeps the readers wanting more

Brillant Book!

I live in Brownsville and work in Salem Oregon... love every one of her books but this one especially stood out to me. Gave me a new appreciation for our pioneers.

I ffound this read while looking for a book my mother-in-law, husband and myself could all enjoy. it was great for our trip from California to Missouri and back. Enjoyed the story.

This book should come under the genre of Christian novel

I found this book used a great deal of religious content to tell the story. It has dozens if not triple-digit religious references such as quoting prayers and reciting scriptures as well as continuous references to God and the Christian faith. The amount of religious content in this book should qualify it as a Christian novel or at least come with some sort of warning. I felt like I was in Sunday School. However, the story, minus the religion, was a good one and I liked it. But I felt like I got ripped-off; I thought I was buying a novel about pioneer life but instead I paid to be proselytized.
