Love story wrapped in time travel

An intriguing story about a woman, Jenny, who is a time Leaper and returns to her 2016 body to prevent the future destruction of crops. She meets Ian who is a dedicated father and widower who would inspire his son to create a crop with unintended consequences.

The authors premise of time jumpers is interesting, using science to travel in time. The story of Jenny and Ian is fun and I love the scene at the Vietnamese restaurant.

Overall a fulfilling story with a happy ending which I like.

Good audio book

Good audio book.
Four stars.
I prefer the ebook over the audio book sorry but I felt like the person who is reading it wasn't the right voice for the book. But it's still a good book.

A new Genre. Pornographic sci-fi

Lets start off with this is a great book. Loved the story with all the dilemmas involved. Time travel is never easy.
Love the changes she was able to make and the surprise she got at the end.

Now for the bad. Without all the sex scenes this would be a much shorter book. Contrary to some beliefs, it is possible to write a good story without so much graphic sexual interaction. The story as written hinged on how great the sex was. If it wasn't for the great sex, she could not have gotten away with all she did. (or so the author appears to believe)

I really felt all the great sex distracted from the story just because of how excessive it was. I don't mind some in my stories but it is not needed to make the story happen.

Narration was very will done with no issues.

Overall I would recommend this story for those not offended by all the very graphic sex scenes.
Very engaging with good plot and believable characters.

to much lovie dovie

way to much relationship sruff. boring. ended up scipping parts. chink. chink. BS. plot reasonable. narration so so.

A morality tale and a love story

Although the concept of this book was a little convoluted, the execution was really good. Several times I struggled with the 33-day concept. Leapers these people are called. Once I accepted the whole deal, I settled into a creative and novel concept.

Jenny is sent back to try to prevent a discovery that will eventually be a catastrophe for everyone on earth. The task is at once monumental and also very specific. She has to convince a young man that he’s destined to kill billions of people by accident. Talk about pressure.

I don’t want to give too much away, but this is a romance. A bit of insta-love, but I so wanted Jenny to get a happy ending. Based on the premise, she wasn’t destined for one, so the whole story kept me on the edge of my seat. I listened to the audio in just two days and am so glad I did.

There are many peripheral issues tackled – our treatment of the environment, mutating diseases, genetic modification - all things that are relevant today. There was no preaching or simple answers, just left me with a lot of questions about where humanity is headed and if there is anything that can be done or are we destined to destroy ourselves. Deep thinking yet seamlessly woven into the story.

A really great story. One I recommend.

This book is almost entirely in Jenny’s point of view, so I was surprised to find a male narrator. Soon I settled into Geoffrey Boyes’ narration and eventually came to really enjoy him. The book is Australian and he was perfect for the book. This was a great book and I hope others enjoy it.

Aussie SciFi with Heart

I've been delighted to discover a number of excellent books recently by Australian authors. I was intrigued by the concept of the book: 33 days in your younger body. I imagined what that would be like. Who hasn't wished they could know what they know now, but have the hot bod of our youth? When I thought about it, I didn't think about using that time in the past to try to save a dying world. King gives us a timer and sets in motion a do-or-die scenario with an unlikely heroine. Does this adventure hinge on derring do? No. Instead the crux tilts precariously on relationships, those most unpredictable things in life. Does she have the faith and courage to do what's necessary no matter what? Do they believe her? And that question we ask in every book: What happens? The story starts gently and builds strongly, but with an audio book you can't flip to the end to find out what happens!

Unbelievable time travel romance!

I absolutely loved this audiobook story! Narrated perfectly with speed and voice, bring characters to life. Highly recommended for all romance and science readers!

Love story

this book turned out to be a love story which was nice b it was expecting more of a si fi ..It was a free read so did listen to the whole book kept listening to see if had more than sex. lol but if you are looking for romantic sex than go for it si fi pick another...

Time travel with a twist.

Interesting story. I love time travel stories. This one has its dilemmas like most. Should we save others, or let them die, what happens if we alter time, should we simply change the one thing we set out to...... Jenny has 33 days to change the course of the future with her crop invention. Can she do it, does she do it? Science and humans can really be interesting. I recommend this book. Thought the premise and story was very interesting. Will definitely check out more work from this writer.

Odd selection of a male reader since the main character is a female, where is does work, may have been better served with a female reader. This may have been the writers choosing. The narrator is fine, he did a good job.

Excellent narration.

The storyline is thought provoking and narration is excellent. Some of he sex scenes were not needed.
