Resumen del Editor

Napoleon Hill was born into poverty in 1883. As a teenager, he began writing as a reporter for small newspapers. He had visions of becoming a lawye and did, in fact, enter law school, but financial constraints soon forced him to withdraw.

Then, in 1908, industrialist Andrew Carnegie commissioned him to interview hundreds of successful men and women, in an effort to prove his theory that success could be distilled down to a clear-cut formula.

Hill interviewed the most famous (and richest) people of the time, and "The Success Formula" was published in Hill's 1928 book The Law of Success. Hill reveals additional information on his success formula in the most famous of his works, Think and Grow Rich, published in 1937. It has sold more than 30 million copies to date.

A blast from the past!

While this book was written in the 1930's it contains information that is currently being released by folks such as Wayne Dyer ("Change your thoughts..."), and contains information similar to that found in "The Secret". I found it fascinating that this information has been available for so many years. It was interesting to note the circumstances at the time of its writing (breakfast for two for 15 cents, etc). Certainly worth the time.

Great principles

This is a book that will help you get into a state of mind for earning large sums of money. However you must take action, and grab the bull by the horns if you expect any of them to work. Like they say "old habits die hard". the hardest part is always replacing habits that have been nurtured for a long time. If you are willing to take action and apply new behaviors then this book is for you.

You have to listen

Again, for those on the self help quest, this is a good old standard. Some old examples don't distract from the positive message. Get this one under your belt and keep moving forward.

Best book ever written!

This is one of my favorite books, I only wish there was a good narrator for it.
Narrator read too fast with little to no inflection or pauses.

Timeless Piece

Some people fall asleep listening to music, when I fall asleep at night I love the words of Napolean Hill gently caressing the flow of dreams. This book is a timeless masterpiece that describes the belief system and the practices required to become wealthy in any enviornment and any time period on our wonderful planet. While the evidences it provides are a bit aged the lessons that are conveyed by this philosopher still reign true. If you haven't already read this book please take the time to get it here on audible and give a good listen again and again.

Good but agitated

Considering the date this was written, the material is period appropriate. I and not discouraged or dissuaded by things that appear outdated. Much in this book can be transferred to today's time and verbiage.

The book has a speed narrator and it feels high pressure and shill. The content can be summarized by imagining oneself as kind, hard working, generous and wanting to see the self and others succeed. This book is everything that '4 hour work week' is not. This book teaches working and acting with honor. This is not a book about winning by keeping others in a lesser class. I enjoyed the respect given to others in this book.

I have searched for other narrators of this same book and none are better that this.

The author is a Christian and expresses what faith means to him. While he does use faith with abundance in the book, he also gives non-Christian examples of faith and why they are more powerful than military might.

This is a good book but I think 'How to win friends and influence people 'is a better book. The content can be applied to self first, then others, and finally the team wins.

The glass is more than half full.

Nothing New Here...

This book is an awkward listen at best. The conversational tone is decades old and I found myself trying to interpret the lingo more the message. Which by the way is nothing more than a very long version on the Golden Rule. None the less it is a great refresher for those that need it.
