Great Read on a Difficult Topic

A quick, wastes-no-time practical guide from authors with personal experience was recommended to me by a friend whose child passed away. A great balance between science/research, persona anecdotes, and to-do lists. This book likely won’t count as support your doctoral statement, but when you or a friend are in need, this little booklet will prove a lifesaver.

Everyone needs more empathy

Our world would be better if more people read and followed this book’s advice. Too many times people focus on themselves or give platitudes that are unhelpful or even hurtful. Good suggestions of things to say (and not to say) in this book!

Great content, wished I got the book instead

Terrific and thoughtful content. Highly recommend! I may buy the book too as a reference and refresher for when I run into moments where I'm supporting others in need. That's my only complaint... awfully hard to skim through and audiobook and refresh yourself on what you've learned.

Language

The continent was extremely helpful, however, contained offensive language, which would’ve been nice to know ahead of time.
