Totally Awesome

The is one of the first books that I ever read and it is amazing. The characters are great especially garrett jax. This is well worth listening too. I highly recommend this book.

The Wishsong of Shannara

With a gentle innocence the author presents an adventure into a land of fantasy ;a world of Magic, Druids, Elves, Half-Men and odd creatures, all in an era of near middle earth. The story well painted by its author and narrator draws you in promising not to let you go. An excellent first listen especially for those who are young at heart. A delightful storey! I highly recommend this book!

The abridged version was well written and Charles jesting did an excellent job reading it.

I believe I liked this one the most of all.

Great book, but questionable abridgement

I love Terry Brooks and the Shannara series. Charles Keating, as always, does a great job with this title in both narration and character voices.

Now for my one pet peeve. Garet Jax is probably one of the most well known and well liked characters in the world of Shannara. To leave his final battle out of this abridgement is darn near unforgivable. I mean, not a single word about it, except at the very beginning. I realize they try to trim these versions down to 6 hours, but come on. At least give Garet Jax a few more minutes. He deserves it.

Wonderful!

This was a great audiobook with Keating doing the narration. Even though it is abridged, it is worth a listen for anyone who loves the Shannara Trilogy or for those who just want to get the general gist of the 3rd book with great detail.

Love it, but... 1 suggestion

Please get a woman to do the female voices, Mr. Keating does a lovely reading but the female voices are a bit of a stretch. Otherwise, well done. !!

Good Book

Good book. I enjoyed it very much. Mr. Brooks is a fine story teller. Enjoy!!!
