love the characters the storyline was really enjoyable of course loved all the sexy time but I really enjoy the hockey 🏒 storyline sometimes sports don't work with telling a story but this book did the job well done 👍 another fantastic book by Marni Mann

I liked the story , it really missed out not being duet . Would have made this book 10x better

Second chance fun

Oh I do love a second chance romance, especially when there’s a bit of animosity between the characters, but not outright hate. This story required me to trust the process a bit. Beck and Jolie met when she was only 20 and a sophomore in college. After spending an unforgettable weekend together, they part ways. Years pass where they only have text conversations and too many missed moments to reconnect, until fate decides to put them in the same place at the same time. From there we get a steamy romance between two people who were perfect from each other right from the start. This story will remind you of those whirlwind romances of our 20s, all the magic and passion, but with a second chance twist which I loved. Add in the fact that he’s a billionaire and a professional hockey player and it’s a deliciously steamy romance only Marni Mann can deliver.

In audio, Sean Masters and Savannah Peachwood were perfect for Beck and Jolie. I loved how this story all came together. From the moment they meet back up, the story moves quickly and will make you fall in love with Jolie and Beck as a couple. And there’s just enough hockey to be fun and to make it a true sports romance, but Beck also gets to sweep Jolie off her feet a bit too in the way only a really rich person can. Beck was strong, confident, and a true leader, which was incredibly sexy. I also really appreciated how Jolie grew in the time they were apart and though she struggled at times, especially concerning working with her father, she still had backbone and grit. Overall, this was a fantastic follow up to The Arrogant One and I’m super intrigued that Walker is the next Weston to get his story.

Good story.

Good story and an excellent narrator in Savannah Peachwood. you can never go wrong with her.

Beck Weston!

I loved Beck & Jolie’s story! This whole series is so good and Sean Masters & Savannah Peachwood were both amazing!

Sizzling romance! Great storyline! Sexy narration all around

I liked it all! This whole series is great and an easy listening experience. Strong characters across the board, great narration, sexy voices, emotion packed storyline

Would have been lightyears better in Duet

I enjoyed the book; lots of references to Weston group restaurants and clubs, but almost no interaction with his family. Seems like Marnie was setting up Walker to be the MMC of her next book with a cryptic mention towards the end. This was more a forbidden hockey romance with the team's owner's daughter. It got a little slow and repetitive midway through.

Sean Masters was terrific! Savannah Beachwood's voice grates on me; seems overly dramatic at times, but I really hated her voicing the male character. With the success of the series, I don't understand why this wasn't done in duet. It would have made a dramatic difference for the better.

Beck and Jolie were amazing! I'm a huge hockey fan, so I immediately fell in lust with Beck in The Arrogant One. He blew me away with his own story, and Jolie was just awesome.

I loved their immediate chemistry and Beck thinking Jolie was "the one" after spending such a short time with her. Both knowing their professional priorities (Beck to win another Stanley Cup, and Jolie to finish college a begin her career) didn't include a serious relationship, they selflessly paused continuing to see one another. But fate's plans saw them seeing each other again a while later. Their feelings are just as strong, if not stronger, but they're now forbidden fruit. Both are in a better place in their lives, but those professional obligations may derail them before they can begin again.

This was kind of a second chance, but not really. Beck and Jolie are so meant to be, but they both have to work through their feelings and decide what's more important to them. Their HEA was not easy, but I loved every bit of the journey. There's plenty of heat between these two, and Beck and Jolie's families play a big part in this story. Marni never fails to give the best stories, even if there's some hair pulling and screaming on the part of the reader.

Savannah Peachwood and Sean Masters were perfect in their narration. The Weston Group series is so good, and I wan't wait for what's next.
