Awesome History with Recommendations for Books...

What made the experience of listening to The Weiser Field Guide to Witches the most enjoyable?

I really like that they weave a historical path through witchcraft history but also let you know what is viable in our modern time & the real history. It's fun to listen too & does move along very quickly which made me want to learn-read more.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

Gives both the hardships of these early magical pioneers, their dreams & their downfalls all together. So is a full round perspective.

Which scene was your favorite?

How quickly the whole thing moves along, everything so far I've liked.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me feel like I was in a tunnel & the images in the book where the paintings in this tunnel cave.

Any additional comments?

I recommend it for road trips.

Good, breif, and biased

Trudy privation though very short summaries. This was definitely a popular reader it did not go into historical or academic detail. Fact it is moved that he supernatural things were true and gave credence to many mythical people and creatures.
But well read and a good introduction book.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, well spent b/c the subject matter was unlike any I had been previously exposed to.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Dump the caffeine high of the narrator.

How could the performance have been better?

A narrator who didn't speed throughout the book. Had to listen on "slow" speed, which distorted the quality and certainly was extremely annoying.

Nope.

If you could sum up The Weiser Field Guide to Witches in three words, what would they be?

Must read for anyone interested in the history of Witchcraft. Most books focus only on the European history but this is very comprehensive.It touches on practices around the world. It was so refreshing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Weiser Field Guide to Witches?

I can't choose I loved so much I am rereading it.

What about Arika Escalona’s performance did you like?

She has a great voice that keeps you interested in the story and does put you to sleep.
