Not my favorite but enjoyable

I love John Marrs and I am reading his entire catalog! This book was not my favorite not but know that he is still one of my favorite authors, and so happy that I discovered him this year

Very good

I got confused at the beginning by all the different characters and jumping between past and present but once I got that figured out it was a good read.

Including every theme imaginable

While an interesting listen, it ridiculously includes every theme imaginable…serial killer ☑️ stalker ☑️ race issues ☑️ family drama and dynamics ☑️☑️ inheritance ☑️ and this is just a few. There are so many more!

Venice beach at its best

I loved everything about the characters. this book left me wanting a sequel... some of the storylines were mehh... but for the most part.. I want more!!

What a twisty turny crazy story! A lot of characters but somehow tied together. This is worth a listen or a read

Hard to follow

I’m not sure if it was me, the material or narrator but I could not follow. I’m not sure I know much of anything about this book after listening to the entire thing. Rating a 3 because I can’t rate good or bad if I can’t even tell you the plot/twist.

Great book

My 2nd book by this author and I am realizing I am really liking his style of writing. How there are a set of different people and their stories are told separately and yet somehow connected…
I am going to pick my next book by this author as soon as I’m done with this review.

Strange story

with 162 chapters jumping over time and character, this is difficult to keep track of especially at the beginning when the point of plot, who is a hero or heroine, who is an antihero or antiheroine are all unclear. in fact there are many of each of these. However the idea becomes clear and the story is rather clever.

Difficult read

Difficult to follow along with the bouncing around between time lines and characters. Had to restart a few times in order to get the background down.
