Fantastic!

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It grabbed my attention from the very beginning and the ending was satisfying. Very unique story!

Always a good read by Claire McGowan. Leaves you guessing till the end. Enjoyable read!!

Old haunted places and what about witches?

This is the kind of story that has always stirred my imagination . I have to admit this author has th ability to reach out and convince me that witchcraft is fun to think about but just another board game but yet could this be maybe a little bit true? I loved the book "let me in" l will be reading more of her work for sure.

Very Enjoyable Listen!!

One of the best stories I’ve listened to in awhile. Loved the narrators as well. I particularly enjoyed the several twists and turns throughout the story and up to the very end!! You won’t be disappointed to use a credit for this one!

ABSOLUTELY ABSURD

Absolutely absurd premise by the author: a female physician (who must as a doctor have at least a modicum of common sense) allows her secretive and unemployed husband to purchase a house without telling her any details about it — exactly where the house is located, the price, what it looks like, and what condition it’s in; the husband hires a shady “contractor” without the wife’s knowledge and whom she’s never met to immediately — before they’ve even unpacked from moving from one city to the new house in another city — begin major renovations without obtaining even a verbal, let alone a written, quote from the contractor; two teenage construction workers arrive at the house at 6:00 a.m. one morning soon thereafter without advising the owners they are going to start renovations that day (owners still haven’t unpacked); the wife objects but the husband does not, so the contractor browbeats her into letting the teenagers begin knocking down walls, even though no one has asked the wife exactly what renovations she wants done, even though no blueprints have been prepared, and even though no construction permits have been requested or obtained . . . . let’s just stop there and say that the nonsensical and totally illogical events of this story continue until most readers will give up in disgust, toss the novel in the trash, and turn on the TV. I could not listen to the audiobook past the third chapter, and I do not recommend this book in the slightest.

Very Good Story

Interesting story that wasn’t by the numbers. Great narrators who helped the story along as opposed to the ones that take you out of it. Very rarely leave reviews, usually only the really horrible ones or the excellent ones. This was definitely one of the latter.
