Resumen del Editor

Chained to an acacia tree, while Chief Banda's village burns.

Captured and bound for Bagamoyo only moments after the captain was shot, RyAnne is tempted to despair. The journey along the trail of chains would be difficult enough, but severe heat, fire, and a rogue lion threaten at every curve in the path. Only her need to keep watch over little Moyo keeps her from giving up all together. That and her determination to carry on Captain Dawson's mission to find out who the slave trader, Khalifa, is working for.

Trent Dawson wakes to find June and Kako working to save his life. The village is gone. And only one thing weighs on his mind. He must find and rescue RyAnne before the slave caravan reaches the port of Bagamoyo. There is no time for rest, yet his gunshot body demands it. If only his frail flesh wasn't failing him just when he needed it to be strong!

A thrilling historical romance from the time of missionary explorer David Livingstone.

Unstoppable Love

The story of Ryanne and the Captain continues . I have waited for the continuation of this story and it did not disappoint. The realization that God is with us even when we think he is not, and that even when it looks like evil is winning, it is not comes across very well in the story. Thanks Lynette.

The Trail of Tears.

All! I can say is this. Series has gotten better with each book and more difficult to stop reading and listening to. The Trail of Tears was even more. captivating. Please give the series a try. You will not be disappointed. I was skeptical since it has been the first christen fiction books I have read. I absolutely give it 5 Stars.

Heart Pounding Pursuit

After watching Captain Dawson being shot, RyAnne was captured by the evil slave trader, Kalifa. Believing that Trent (Captain Dawson) is dead, RyAnne focuses on caring for little Moyo and listening to every conversation that Kalifa has, in an attempt to determine who he is working for in the illegal slave trade. Meanwhile Trent, badly injured, is being cared for by June and Kako. Facing forest fires, roaring lions, and bound in chains, RyAnne holds on to her faith. When it looks as though the infection in Captain Dawson’s gunshot wound will end his life, the natives caring for him pray to the God of the white man, vowing to serve Him if God will save Captain Dawson’s life. God is faithful. And as Captain Dawson and his friends pursue RyAnne and her captors, Captain Dawson shares more and more of the story of God’s love.

Not realistic enough to keep my cynicism from ruining the story

The story is getting worse as it goes along. The “natives” are non-characters, just as condescending as an actual novel of the time. Christianity was not a total unknown in the continent and villages would have taken steps to defend themselves with rampaging slavers running around destroying whole villages. A little more historical research would make the story much better.m
